DERIVE MARKETING BENEFIT FROM MOBILE USAGE

As is obvious, this is the era of smartphones. It is bound to remain this way for quite a while to come, and will only

evolve into something with a more gargantuan presence. The prominence of mobile phones may have raised the

level of basic education of the people of this world in some way, but largely it remains a device that can be exploited

efficiently for business. Mobile app marketing is what the companies consider as the “in thing” today. There is hardly

a company that does not have its own app or its advertisement someone else’s app. The fact is that the latter

method works both ways – it brings business to the company and money to the app developer.

Here are a few reasons to justify mobile marketing. The first reason is its penetration. This is a world where mankind

has become dependent on electronics to the point of handicap. This is not a bad thing, though. Being friendly with

technology is necessary for survival these days. Anyway, with such a heavy daily usage of mobile phones, there has

to be a way of making your company’s name pop up somewhere on so many phones. There has to be a way of telling

so many people that your company exists and it has good services to offer. You can catch hold of independent or

other big app developers, and strike a deal with them. You can have your advertisement posted on all or select

applications from that developer. This way, the app users will be made aware of your presence in the market.

Another way is to develop your own app, which is better. When you have your own app, you have many benefits to

accrue from it. First of all, location based marketing can become a possibility. This adds quality to your marketing,

your app and services, once they become region-centric or location based. For a person sitting in America, there is

no need to know what a certain company is doing all the way around the world in China. Having an app on different

mobile platforms helps you deliver specific content to the customers.

In addition to this, having an app for the services your company provides helps in customer retention and attracting

more customers. Say for example that you have an electronics brand. You have an application for troubleshooting

common issues that may occur in your gadgets. When you tell your product buyers about this app, they install it.

Upon their verdict, word goes out to the people who they interact with, about your company. This helps you widen

the circle of your presence.

It is, however, important to note that apps have a high tendency of being critiqued by all sorts of people. You need

to do a good job at making one, and keeping it that way. Only when the public is satisfied shall the desired results be

achieved by you. Mobile marketing trends are on the rise, but so is competition and quality. Visit
