Derrick Thomas ⁄ Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation

It is the primary mission of the Derrick Thomas ⁄ Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation to support and improve reading and learning abilities of disadvantaged school children in Kansas City, Missouri

and surrounding areas. The Derrick Thomas ⁄ Neil Smith Third and Long Foundation, founded in 1990, strives to change the lives of 9-13 year old urban children facing challenging and even life threatening situations.

Through school, cultural and educational activities and programs, the Third and Long Foundation help participat-ing children succeed in school and in and outside world processing seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

The Third and Long Foundation also strives to form close, supportive relationships among the program’s partici-pants as well as with other well-known and successful personalities. The children benefit through the celebrities’ personal stories of overcoming adversity and dominating “third and long” situations.

Hickman Mills Educational Foundation

The Hickman Mills Educational Foundation was created during the 2000-2001 school year to raise, manage and distribute funds for educational programs that benefit students and staff of the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. The Foundation connects schools, businesses and community by inviting everyone to be stockholders in the educational process.

The mission of the Hickman Mills Educational Foundation is to ensure quality education by enlisting businesses and the public to help provide educational opportunities for students and staff.

The Educational Foundation offers a creative and flexible conduit to provide resources and support to the students and teachers of the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. The Foundation provides grants to teachers to fund innovative programs in the classroom. The Foundation also provides scholarships to students to continue their education beyond high school.

Putting ContestEach player gets 3 chances to putt their ball into the designated hole on the putting green. Prize awarded for the closest. A putt-off will be held in the event of a tie. (Included in registration)
