Most experienced people still make very bad decisions. Shovel beacon probe etc mostly useless Most people only think about down Terrain terrain terrain Authority is the worst - more people with a level one die. You are playing roulette every time you travel in avalanche terrain. Herd effect - large groups and women Snow pits are of limited utility. Its okay if I die doing this at least Ill die doing what I loveSide country is the best way to get inexperienced and unprepared people into high alpine terrain fast. Good skiiers think they have more avalanche knowledge.#1 piece of avalanche equipment- Helmet more important than all othersBrain most important Your phone is not a dependable rescue tool batteriesAirbags only slightly increase your chances of surviving an avalance: http://www.adventure-journal.com/2013/03/the-truth-about-airbags-and-avalanche-survival/
