4 Outline Outline 1 – STORY OF ENGLISH NUMBER

This section will cover details on introduction number. For a starter, this courseware will shows to learner

different type of number including Cardinal, Ordinal and Fractional Number. Is important to highlight those

numbers before we can explain those numbers in detail. Thus the purpose of this lesson is providing all the

OUTLINE 1 – STORY OF ENGLISH NUMBERS

Number can be classified as a pure mathematics devotes to the study of the integers. Based on Albert

Einstein, a number by itself has no significance and only deserves the designation of number by virtue.

The number itself being a member of a group of objects with some shared characteristics such as

Cardinal Number, Ordinal Number or Fractional Number.

Thus in this section, learner will be presented by several number including all the numbers mention

above. For an instance this section will have four subsection including:

OUTLINE 1.1: What is Cardinal Number.

A brief explanation regarding Cardinal Number. A how to differentiate Cardinal Number with other

type of number.

II. Practice/Interactive Activity

1 Practice/Activity

Items ACTIVITY ON BASIC CARDINAL NUMBER

For the assessment activity, student will be judge according to their knowledge on how to

identify the Cardinal Numbers based on two conditions. First based on the mathematical

character. And second is based on the graphical representation of the Cardinal Number. The

figure above shows the example on how student will be judge based on the mathematical

character. Student need to key on the right spelling for each numbers. Meanwhile figure

OUTLINE 3: THE WHOLE NUMBER. After learner can identify and explain those basic cardinal number (0-10), this courseware will try to add

their knowledge by giving a set of number starting from 0 (zero) up to 10000 (ten thousand). Purpose of this

section is to give learner the opportunity to identify and differentiate bigger number so that they can use and

apply those numbers in their daily live.

Thus this section will be divided into four section:

OUTLINE 3.1: How to pronounce the English Cardinal Number – 0 – 49

In this section student will cover the number starting from zero up to 49. For this subsection, a table will be

used to represent those numbers. Below is the example on how the layout should be portrayed.

For this subsection, there will be no graphical representation for each Cardinal Numbers. But the usage of

voice over will still be used as the extra media that will help students.
