Client Profile

Elie and Moulaid Mouyal Residence. Elie and Moulaid own a travel agency in Chicago and organize trips to Morocco. They were

born in Morocco and moved to Chicago to expand their business to other parts of the world. Their clientele includes people from

Europe and America.

They have purchased a loft in Downtown Chicago to invite clients and entertain guests in true Moroccan style, to showcase the

warmth and richness of Moroccan culture and hospitality. They wish to transform the loft into a warm sanctuary utilizing key space

elements such as a central courtyard, a hammam, a prayer room, besides the general space plan. They have contacts in Morocco

who export hand-carved furniture and accessories to all parts of the world, where they can purchase authentic items to decorate

their home. According to them, this could be their home away from home.
