Remodeling is still going strong! This bath needed a little TLC after being a rental property for many years. The cabinets were salvaged by repainting and received new hardware but lost their dated tile countertops. The tops are a sophisti-cated Carrera marble which coordinated with the new marble floors. The tub remained in place but received a fresh new tiled front and splash. Updated sconces were added over larger custom framed mirror surrounds. And finally, the shower was opened up and enlarged getting new subway tiles and receiving a frameless shower enclosure. Fabulous!

Trending for 2013- • Color, Color, Color!

Update your home with a splash of tangerine, lemon yellow, fuchsia or : Pantones color of the year: Emerald Green #17-5641.

• Textures are still very in and will be for a while.

• Reflective surfaces such as glass and metal tiles along with mirrored furniture and accessories. A few of these items in the right spot add interest and just the right amount of “bling” !

• Patterns- go big and bold. • Quartz for countertops .

Quartz is neck and neck with granite as the preferred surface for kitchens.

What a difference a rug makes! Update an important room

like this dining room with a light , fresh contempo-rary rug. I also added a crisp white natural look-ing custom orchid arrange-ment to brighten up the table top. – Sharon Wesson
