(5,443 kg) in tow, climbing a steep grade in oppressive heat, you’ll be glad to have legendary power, a broad torque curve with massive low-end grunt and reliability under the hood. And you have just that, with over 100 years of leadership in reliability, efficiency, and advanced technology.1

One legend deserves another. Backing up the massive turbo diesel is a specially developed 6-speed automatic transmission. The world’s largest supplier of automatic transmissions, used by over 55 automotive manufacturers, its depth of knowledge and expertise makes it an ideal partner to Cummins.

TWO-STAGE TURBO Say goodbye to turbo lag. The Cummins® 5.0 L V8 Turbo Diesel gets a continuous power boost right through the rpm range, thanks to a first-to-market Holset® M2 two-stage turbocharger. You get solid acceleration from the second you put your foot down until you get up to speed.

CERAMIC GLOW PLUGS Even if it drops to frigid conditions overnight, you still have to get to work in the morning. With advanced Bosch® ceramic glow plugs, you can have your engine firing in less than two seconds even at that bone-chilling temperature. And these plugs were built to last – they’ll be around for the life of the engine, with no maintenance.

CLEAN EXHAUST For decades, diesels had a dirty reputation for being, well, dirty. Technology has fixed all that. The new Cummins® 5.0 L V8 Turbo Diesel exhaust system has a particulate filter and selective catalytic reduction that enable the engine to run more cleanly. That technology also serves a second purpose – it reduces noise. Power and efficiency is now clean and quiet.

LIGHTWEIGHT CGI BLOCK The new Cummins® 5.0 L V8 Turbo Diesel gives you maximum durability and power in a lightweight package. Extra weight was shed by building the cylinder block out of compacted graphite iron (CGI), which is stronger and lighter than traditional iron. Other lightweight engine components were added, like high-strength aluminum-alloy heads and composite valve covers.

Blind Spot Warning (BSW). If another vehicle is detected in the blind spot area, an indicator appears in the driver’s or front passenger’s door pillar and on the Advanced Drive-Assist® Display. Then, if you put your turn signal on, the indicator flashes with a warning chime.1,2,3

Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). When you’re backing out of a parking space, this feature watches the area around the rear of your TITAN® XD and can warn you about vehicles detected that you might not see behind you approaching from either side. So feel more confident backing up.1,3,4

RearView and Around View® Monitors.  When you’re in Reverse, the RearView Monitor3,6 shows what’s directly behind you and helps make backing up and parking easier. And the Around View® Monitor uses four cameras to give you a virtual 360º bird’s-eye view of your vehicle, with selectable split-screen close-ups of the front, rear, and curbside views, so you can see where you’re going without second-guessing.3,6,12
