Q11: Do you have any other comments or additional information that you would like to share about your Webinar experiences including things you like/dislike, suggestions for improvements/best practices, etc.?

• The content should be written for a virtual classroom experience - not an ILT classroom format.

• The speaker should be well versed in delivering a virtual class using the platform.• The content has to find the right balance; too many activities is also distracting and takes

away from the learning goals..• I do like the convenience of webinars, however I prefer instructor-led, but not the time

constraints. • Web training offers a great option for reaching a greater audience. Webinars are a

wonderful tool!• The BEST I attended was a series by Allen Interactions; it was accomplished by a well

planned curriculum with frequent interactions and breakout sessions. One of my best all around training experiences.

• Simplify the slides; break them up into sub-topics; make the visual presentation interesting, to the point, and relevant.

• It is important to keep people interested and interact with them in some way (stop for Q&A, polls).

SUMMARY

SUMMARY

• eLearning was listed as the most frequent method of training participants have received in the last 12 months (100% of respondents) but Instructor-led training was cited as the preferred learning method the most (53% of respondents).

• Webinars as a learning experience were listed as being either Very Valuable or Somewhat Valuable by the majority of participants (93% of respondents).

• The most interesting webinars received a greater amount of participants describing the webinar as Very or Somewhat Interactive/Engaging (80% of respondents) compared with less interesting webinars (13% of respondents).

• Readily available interactive/engaging webinar features were often mentioned as improving the effectiveness of the webinar such as Chat (55%), Web cam (63%), and Polls (72%). However, the two most frequently cited factors in determining a webinars effectiveness were Content (90%) and Interesting Speaker/Speakers (100%).

• Concluding Statement: the convenience and increased usage of webinars make this a viable training method to consider now and into the future. Developing content tailored to webinar delivery and establishing “webinar best practices” will increase the overall experience for all future webinar participants.
