NEW PARISHIONERS

We welcome you and we invite you

to call the Parish Office

to make an appointment

to register.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Let me take this opportunity to congratulate all of our graduates. A special mention goes out to Joe McCarron as he finishes his course of study at Borromeo Seminary, and the graduates of our Corpus Christi Academy!

Well done!

I want to thank everyone who has continued to be so very generous to the parish during these times. You are a real blessing.

Our first public Mass will be Memorial Day at 8:30 a.m. We will have our regular 6:45 a.m. and 12:10 Masses beginning on Tuesday. Our first Sunday Mass will be for Pentecost, May 30-31. As we prepare to begin again, please note the following from the Diocesan Website: Catholics planning to attend a public Mass are strongly encouraged to follow these pre-attendance guidelines:

Please sanitize your hands before entering, when exiting, and after contact with your face

Wear a mask or other face covering upon entering the church and during the celebration of Mass, ex-cept for the brief moment of receiving Holy Com-munion

The faithful are encouraged to bring their own mis-sals or hymnals for use during the celebration of Mass - no missals or other materials will be in the pews

Holy water fonts will remain empty until further no-tice

Be mindful of six feet distance and tape markings along the floor

Any parishioner not feeling well is encouraged to participate in Mass from home. Any person with a temperature of 100.4° F or more should refrain from public Mass attendance.

The Church will be sanitized after each Mass.

Also, please note:

Catholics continue to be dispensed from the obligation to attend Holy Mass on Sunday (for the time being).

May God’s Blessings be yours this Ascension. Father Ireland

OUR COMMUNITY AT PRAYER FOR … With fond memories ...

The family of Anna Marie Nye called to request that we notify our parishioners that their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on the 28th of April, 2020. Anna Marie was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish for many years.

After the death of her husband, Don, Anna Marie moved to Twinsburg and joined Ss. Cosmos & Damian Parish in the early 1990’s. Friends, both longtime and recent, will remember her as a compassionate, social, other- centered, and fun-loving person who possessed a great sense of humor. She will be missed.

Let us remember her in our prayers and ask Almighty God to console her family and friends who now mourn

her death. May she rest in peace.

Let us remember these members of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish who died recently:

John Grdovic Richard “Rico” Gromek

May God’s mercy be upon them and upon their families and friends

who now mourn their passing.

May 24, 2020 Seventh Sunday of Easter

We Regret to Say ... We have had to cancel our Memorial Day Masses due to difficulty in creating appropriate social distancing, even though the Masses were scheduled for outdoors. At some of our cemetery locations there are more than one hundred people attending the Masses; and two locations have more than three or four hundred attendees. There was no way to keep people socially distant and protecting one another in a safe manner. We look forward to honoring our departed loved ones at other Masses and events throughout the remainder of the year and hopes for a return to our Memorial Day Mass next year.
