As you may have heard, there are many exciting new developments at ALHI and parent company Associated Luxury Hotels. Among these is the addition of incremental industry talent to our executive leadership team with three outstanding individuals: Josh Lesnick, Mark Sergot and Tom Santora, among others. Josh was appointed President and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels, overseeing the day-to-day business operations of ALHI, our recent acquisition Worldhotels, and complementary business units. Josh comes to us from Wyndham Hotel Group where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for their extensive holdings. As you may have heard, there are many exciting new developments at ALHI and parent company Associated Luxury Hotels. If you have not yet experienced The Watergate Hotel after its dramatic $125 million renovation, one of many reasons to visit is the wonderful Kingbird restaurant. Providing scenic and sweeping views of the Potomac River via large bay windows, this unique dual-concept restaurant features both casual and formal settings, with a lively bar and seasonally inspired American cuisine (with a French twist). Austin, TX – Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille

Several members of our ALHI team had the opportunity to recently dine at Perry’s, and what an outstanding experience they had. Known for its hip atmosphere, live music, terrific cuisine, and convenient downtown location, this upscale steakhouse is something you should definitely check out when you are next in Austin. Located not far from the contemporary AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center (a distinguished member of ALHI), Perry’s provides first-class service, along with appealing private dining venues that can accommodate groups from six to 80. All of the cuisine received rave reviews, including the Cherry Pepper Calamari, Perry’s Signature Fried Asparagus (topped with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat), the Pecan-Crusted Gulf Coast Snapper, and Perry’s Famous Pork Chop (which is cured, roasted, slow-smoked and caramelized). But wait, there’s more! There are many fantastic desserts too, such as Chocolate Crunch, Praline Cheesecake, and their signature flaming Bananas Foster. What a meal!

Chicago – Columbus Tap For a quintessential Windy City experience, with a fun neighborhood feel, Columbus Tap is a great choice for visitors and locals alike. Located at the AAA Four Diamond Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park in the heart of Chicago, this casual and stylish gastropub specializes in fresh Midwestern-focused cuisine and local craft brews. In addition to serving 16 draft beers, Columbus Tap also offers many beers by the bottle, and is known for its popular Bloody Mary. For your entrée, I highly recommend the Tap That Burger (served with American Gruyere) or the Prime Beef Po’ Boy (featuring Rotisserie Prime Beef and Triple Cream Brie). I understand the Chicken Gyro also is very good. In addition, the restaurant serves a variety of shareable dishes too. For a sweet treat, consider topping off the meal with the delicious Cinnamon-Glazed Donuts.
