Bond University International Exchange ProgramDestination: World

LIVE OVERSEASStudent exchange not enough? Sometimes exchange becomes the determining factor of where to reside after graduating.

TRAVELTravel to nearby countries during your time on exchange to broaden your cultural horizons even further.

GAIN INSIGHT INTO YOUR HOST COUNTRYThere is no better way to learn more about the country you are interested in, than living and studying there.

CULTURAL EXPERIENCEYou will get to experience a culture vastly different from your own, adapting to the different customs, values and language of your host country.

INDEPENDENCEThrough the initial planning and preparation of the exchange as well as overcoming any challenges while you’re overseas, you develop greater independence.

CAREER PROSPECTSBuild connections throughout the world both personally and professionally.

Imagine another student from a leading university overseas who wants to come to Australia for a semester, and you want to go to their city. Essentially, you swap spots with that student. You continue to pay your tuition to Bond and receive credit for your Bond degree to ensure you graduate on time.

The only difference - you get to see the world.

So, what exactly is exchange?

Why go?

There is a world of

opportunityand we’re here to help you discover it

Whether you want to climb the Eiffel Tower in Paris, experience the stunning canals of Denmark, feel the thrill of college sport in the USA or Canada, the adventures abroad are endless.

When you choose to study at one of Bond’s 80+ prestigious international partner institutions, you are setting yourself up for an experience to enrich and diversify your Bond journey. Our network of exclusive partnerships with world leading universities will expose you to new friendships, provide a global edge to your degree, and you will learn more about yourself than ever before.

The Netherlands is a special place. I have grown in every capacity on my exchange at Leiden University: intellectually, practically and spiritually. I think when people say ‘I have come back a changed person’ - it means they have matured in their identity and character by discovering things about themselves that they didn’t know before.

Through excelling in my studies and relationships with people, I look forward to coming back “changed”. This experience of a lifetime has given me a platform to launch into a bigger

world, sooner than I ever thought would be possible.

My time at Kingston University, London was easily the best time of my life! I had such an

amazing experience, travelled to every corner of Europe, met and made friends for life and

broadened my global perspective. This exchange taught me invaluable life skills and I have

returned a changed person. I could not recommend going on exchange more, you won’t

regret it!

I completed a semester exchange at Hawai’i Pacific University. Without a doubt it was the

best experience of my university life. If you love nature, adventure, and travel, it is the place

for you. I met so many amazing people, from so many diverse cultures. I learnt more in these

four months than I ever thought possible.

The academic side of school in Hawaii was very similar to that at Bond, so I didn’t experience

too much culture shock. The classroom environment was relaxed and welcoming, and they

highly valued class discussion and interaction. It is clear to see how beautiful Hawaii is, and

the hiking and adventuring never got old. I highly recommend an exchange at HPU.

I was fortunate to study at Osaka University. Japan is one of many culturally rich

countries within Asia, and throws you right in the deep end of life. I mean this in the

most positive way. Trekking out in the snowy mountains of Hokkaido, escaping to

Seoul for the weekend, 12 hour bike trips and so much more to explore. It’s staggering,

knowing just how much I could achieve in a single year. I met incredible people from

all corners of the world, and together we explored Japan. This made for incredible

memories. I took so much away from this experience.

After spending a life-changing four months at the University of Bergen, I could not recommend

Norway or undertaking a semester abroad highly enough!

The experience provided the perfect opportunity to explore a new part of the world and broaden

my global perspective. I was able to engage with students and academics from all over the world,

making friends and expanding my network. With no shortage of adventures and life-lessons, it was

by far the best four months of my life!

The semester you spend abroad depends on where you want to go, the subjects available abroad, and what semester will work best with your current studies. You’ll also want to consider climate, holidays and activities abroad to decide when is the best time to visit. Our most popular exchange semesters are January and September, however May options are available.

You must have completed two semesters with a 65% GPA (or for Law students 70%) before you apply. If you are considering the May semester, talk to us, and we will let you know if it is possible. International students are also encouraged to explore a semester abroad.

Bond offers monetary support to go where you want to go. Funding starts at $2,000 and is available to students wishing to study abroad. If you choose a location that offers government or private funding, you could receive up to $5,000.
