Half –Term Activity Day Wednesday 27th October 2010,10am to 3pm in The Chapter House, Exeter Cathedral, Exeter.

Dear Parent, Guardian or Group leader,

Thank you for enquiring about our activity day. The day will include activities for families of children aged 5 to 11 years old. All children will have a chance to take part in several activities throughout the morning. in the afternoon Karl Gale, the author of “The little fishing boats of Brixham” will give a talk to the children. This will be followed by a short Celebration Service in the Cathedral

The drama workshop will be taking place during the morning, with the drama being performed during the short Celebration Service at 2.15pm.If you and your child/ children would like to be part of the drama please can you bear this in mind. Child safety requirements.As with any event we are required to abide by the child safety regulations. Please read the following, and in applying for tickets, you will be agreeing to comply with these regulations:-

No mobile phones or cameras to be used whilst in the Cathedral and its precincts.

Accompany your children to the toilets which are situated in the Cathedral Cloisters.

All children must be with their parent or guardian at all times. The Mothers’ Union and Cathedral staff are not responsible for looking after

your child. Every care will be taken in regard to the venue and the arrangements made for the day.

RefreshmentsCold drinks only will be available in the Chapter House during the day. Hot drink can be purchased from the Cathedral café. No hot drinks can be taken and consumed in the rooms with the children.

It is important that these posters and application forms get to the clergy and families as soon as possible. Photocopies can be taken by you and ALL four items are available by email from the Mothers’ Union Office in Exeter. email [email protected]

I appreciate that you may not have a Mothers’ Union meeting immediately but we do need to know the numbers as soon as possible.

We have organised a great day for families, please encourage friends to come.Bring your grandchildren or great grandchildren.
