enriching summer program right here at Saint James School! Our summer program offers

the same high-quality programs you have come to expect from Saint James School in a safe, nurturing environment. Every day of

camp will include arts and crafts with Mrs. Avis, a professional art teacher.

Six Weeks of THEMED FUN: June 22nd – July 31st Who Can Apply: Enrolled students entering Saint James School’s Kindergarten through Grade 5 for the 2020-2021 school year. Weekly Themes (choose one week or as many weeks as you would like):

Week 1: June 22nd – June 26th

Summer Kick-Off! Campers will enjoy outdoor games, water activities, summer-themed crafts, and other fun summer activities. A visit from the CT Science Center’s “Bubbleology” program will be part of the hands-on fun campers will enjoy during this first week of camp.

Week 2:

June 29th – July 2nd (no program on July 3rd

Animals! Learn all about native/exotic animals and reptiles, caring for pets, and – of course – dinosaurs! We will also enjoy a visit from Riverside Reptiles as part of this week of fun!

Week 3: July 6th – July 10th

STEM-tastic! Explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math! Mrs. Poth will have our campers coding with robots, completing engineering challenges, building structures, creating techno-artwork, and conducting experiments.

Week 4: July 13th – July 17th

Storytelling Fun! Campers will journey to whimsical worlds where they will encounter magical creatures from far-away lands. Students will use imagination to make up their own stories to share. A visit from Science Storytellers will round out a week of fun designed to nurture and stimulate campers’ passion for reading and storytelling.

Week 5: July 20th – July 24th

Let’s Build! Legos, blocks, Lincoln Logs, and other special building activities make this week TONS of fun! Building-themed crafts will complement each day’s activities.

Week 6: July 27th – July 31st

A “Smorgasbord” of Fun! Campers will enjoy a local magician, games with prizes, movies with popcorn, Christmas in July, making music, and just a whole lot of fun to wrap up the Saint James School Summer Camp 2020.

Standard Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm

Extended Hours: Before Camp Care 7:00am – 9:00am After Camp Care 3:00pm – 5:30pm

Program Details

Families can choose to apply for just one week or any combination of weeks, up to all six weeks offered.

Students may bring an afternoon snack. Morning snack will be provided daily.

Each day there will be active play outside, in our gym, and in our air-conditioned cafeteria.

Reading time will be provided so children can participate in the Manchester Library Summer Reading Challenge.

Notification of acceptance into the program will be given to families beginning on February 28th. Upon notification, your FACTS account will be charged a non-refundable $225 deposit. The deposit will be applied towards the first week of camp you selected.

All summer camp payments are done through your FACTS account. If you select more than one week of camp, weekly tuition will be withdrawn prior to each week of camp.

One Child $225.00 per week** $11.00 per hour

Two Children $427.50 per week** $20.90 per hour

Three Children $630.00 per week** $30.80 per hour

*Full-time extended care rate: $900.00 for one child, $1,620.00 for two, $2,430.00 for three children (Full-time extended care is only available if child/ren attend all six weeks of camp). ** Week 2 Regular Session Tuition will be discounted to account for no camp on Friday, July 3rd. Week 2 Rates are as follows: One Child - $180; Two Children - $342; Three Children - $504.
