PATSCAN Multi-Sensor Covert Threat Detection Platform The deployment and development of the PATSCAN Multi-Sensor Covert Threat Detection Platform continues, even under the Covid-19 restrictions. Our engineering and deployment teams continue to work with resellers and their existing and new clients on installation and deployment efforts. In addition, the various teams continue their ongoing efforts in enhancing the Platform and each sensor module. Some of those staff who are restricted from working in our labs have brought equipment to their homes to continue their work, while other staff not impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, continue work in our labs. Rest assured, these engineers are safe and working in staggered shifts to advance the Platform’s technologies.

PATSCAN Platform & User Interface (UI): The quarter has been a busy one as the PATSCAN Platform team has worked to bring together several value-add features to the current Platform offering. Performance testing of this new package will continue over the next quarter, as the team is excited about the feedback received from our valued partners and resellers. The next-generation user interface (UI) is progressing quickly and includes several powerful features aligned with the goals of the Company in offering a force multiplier for security professionals. The power of the Platform continues to grow as all teams work together to advance each sensor integration with best-of-breed security technologies, aggregating and distilling disparate technologies into a single and actionable situational awareness solution.

VRS Software modules: The quarter witnessed several breakthroughs in improved accuracy with each PATSCAN VRS (v1.0) software module deployment. The Video Analytics team will continue to push the boundaries of state-of-the-art detection in the real world, across a number of environments with variations in lighting and camera distances. Specifically, Module 2: fights/disturbance detection has matured nicely and will begin paid deployments along with Module 1: weapon detection. Both Module 1 and Module 2 are priced per camera with a minimum number of cameras per deployment, and early adopter promotion for adding both to a single camera.

TMS Sensor Module: For the PATSCAN TMS sensor component of the Platform, the quarter has been very active for the Magnetic Sensor team’s engineers and developers, who have put into production the latest version of the TMS sensor (v1.1). This new version is now smaller in size with equal performance to the first deployed TMS sensor module (v1.0). compact, allowing for a wider range of use case deployments for easier installation both indoors and outdoors. The team successfully achieved this key milestone during the quarter, but they are not stopping there. Delivery has begun with these new TMS sensors to key resellers and their end-clients, and the Magnetic Sensor team has begun work with these end-clients with a focus on advancing detection performance, while increasing pedestrian flow-through capabilities.

CMR Sensor Module & Other Radar Technologies:The Radar Sensor team’s engineers and developers experienced significant advancement in the quarter, working with the Xtract.ai team on the integration of both the PATSCAN CMR with the PATSCAN TMS. The combined CMR / TMS concealed weapon detection system would operate in high footfall scenarios with improved benign clutter rejection; allowing for an improved seamless and unencumbered experience when entering a building or event venue. The combined CMR / TMS system leverages both magnetic and RF sensing capabilities, focused on the same scan area, to screen for concealed threats at the same moment in time. The information from the two different sensors is the result of two different physical phenomena. The team is working to leverage the combined sensors to improve the overall system classification accuracy and detection performance.

In addition, the Radar Sensor team is working on several new radar-based technology approaches for the Platform, which have the capability to work in both structured and unstructured deployment environments. These new radar technologies offer a broader range of detection for both metallic and non-metallic threats.

Overall, the team is working diligently, even under Covid-19 restrictions, to validate the combined CMR / TMS and new radar sensor solutions now and throughout the year; some will require additional FCC experimental waiver submissions.

STS Sensor Module: In Q4, the multi-chemical sensor (STS) performed successful initial tests with a key government entity in the detection of several common types of explosives. Additional work on these common explosives is currently under development. As shared in the last newsletter, the STS explosive module is expected to begin initial paid trials with select clients during Q2, 2020.

Dear Partners, Clients, Shareholders and Supporters

First, may I wish you all health and wellness as we get through these very unsettling times. Clearly, the challenges thrown up by the Covid-19 pandemic touch every aspect of our lives and Patriot One is, of course, not immune. Rest assured, however, that we are in no way in a suspension of operations. Far from it; security remains a top of mind issue for a great many businesses and our business development team are flat out engaging with existing clients and distributors, as well as a myriad of new opportunities. We expect to see many good news stories, as some element of normalcy returns to life. We have worked hard at ensuring safe business continuity practices, so that technology development continues apace. Additionally, we are deeply engaged in exploring new AI-driven opportunities for pandemic response tools.

As shareholders ourselves, our team is disheartened by the market turmoil and the immense downward pressure on stocks, including ours. However, we remain very confident of the outlook as we emerge from the Covid-19 crisis and markets recover confidence. In the meantime, along with continued business development efforts, we have engaged in rigorous cost controls to ensure that our sustainability is not impacted by the crisis, as well as chasing down non-dilutive financing opportunities to supplement our healthy treasury.

The expectation of many expert analysts is that elements of the current way of life will remain with us long into the future. In that context, automated contact screening and AI-driven decision-making tools will be more important than ever. My focus through this crisis is on ensuring that Patriot One is positioned to be in the forefront when it comes to the challenge of communities adapting to new realities. It can be hard to be an optimist against the backdrop of such human suffering and economic disruption as we are witnessing, however, I remain so.

Please stay safe and thank you for your continuing support as we embark on the next part of our journey.

Yours in public safety

Over the past two years Patriot One has made several investments in best of breed IT Infrastructure to support an increasing engineering workload and enable scalability for business growth. Between redundant multi-site network attach storage systems, off-line tape data backup, large UPS, a secure climate-controlled room, and a best in class SAN/VM server cluster architecture with RAID disk arrays, our IT system ensures that the technical and business teams experience optimum performance coupled with data security. In 2019 Patriot acquired a pair of powerful servers to provide the compute power necessary for cutting edge AI/ML data modelling for PATSCAN products across multiple time-zones from London UK, New Brunswick, to Toronto, and the Xtract AI team in Vancouver.

Over the past year Patriot One has established a network of trusted logistics service providers and import/export customs brokers to ship PATSCAN products around the globe. An agile combination of a highly skilled internal team coupled with our

external supply chain partner experts ensures that Patriot One’s customers receive their products safely and on time.

After a rigorous ERP vendor evaluation RFP process in 2019, Patriot has now begun the process of migrating away from the current finance bookkeeping software [start-up beginnings], onto a leading enterprise-grade ERP system. This feature rich system will support business process efficiencies in finance and multi-entity fiduciary requirements, operations and engineering, including ecommerce sales on a global scale for many years to come. The phase 1 go-live is planned for late summer 2020, to be followed by ongoing ERP enhancements aligned with an evolving business growth strategy.

A small but experienced group, the Operations team is proud of the successful initiatives implemented thus far and look forward to the many exciting business challenges ahead.

The Business Development team continue to drive business forward by encouraging resellers and end clients to take advantage of these Covid-19 social distancing closures to plan, purchase and begin staging for deployment of the PATSCAN Platform. As is seen today, security and safety will always be critical to industry, making ours recession resistant. Although some in the media and marketplace have suggested schools will remain closed for the remainder of the school year, many school security staff are in contact with us in order to plan for the new year starting in August and September. Furthermore, Mt. Healthy City School District has seen the absence of students as an opportunity to continue with the installation of the PATSCAN Platform. Just prior to the outbreak, Patriot One had shipped the Platform to Ginter Electrical for Mt. Healthy City Schools. Ginter have now been authorized to fully install and deploy the systems.

Security and safety are at the forefront of everyone’s agenda and will likely remain that way, especially when we start to return to our new normal. We continue to ship Platforms, including to the Canadian Government in preparation for the DND Royal Canadian Navy deployment secured through the Innovation Solution Canada project. Additional Platform sales continue to be made and sensor modules are being staged for delivery to new resellers, end-clients and locations for when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted in these markets.

Where there are already existing reseller relationships and deployments, the Business Development team continues to build brand loyalty and help promote the Platform with these resellers and other clients. Some clients are feeling financially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic; however, others are taking this opportunity to review new security solutions in order to take advantage of some of the US Covid-19 Stimulus Packages offering full-write-offs on security upgrades and enhancements.

Per Security Industry Association (SIA) - Installation and upgrades to security and life-safety systems qualify. This available “bonus depreciation” for Qualified Improvement Property QIP is 100 percent of cost for each tax year through 2022, which then phases out by 2027. Beyond the Section 179 expensing for these costs made available to small and medium sized businesses through the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, this change means these improvements can now be written off regardless of business size. (https://www.securityindustry.org/report/guide-to-new-tax-incentives-for-security-and-fire-protection-systems/)

In response to this opportunity, the Company has introduced some additional Platform early adopter incentive programs with long-term contracts. All in all, the Business Development team continues to support existing clients and reseller partners and have stepped-up live webinar product demonstrations. The feedback that has been received to date has been extremely positive.

INVESTOR RELATIONS UPDATE

We realize that during this time of severe market volatility, you may have questions about your investment and what actions to take given the extreme unpredictability. This month the market has seen unprecedented times with the steep decline in share price bringing PAT to a 52-week low. Market volatility is normal, but what has caught everyone off guard is the speed and magnitude of this recent downturn. Patriot One is in a very good position having a strong balance sheet with sufficient cash reserves for 2020 and are managing expenses carefully to maintain our runway well into 2021 and beyond. We expect to come out of this downturn stronger and will provide shareholders with value through a solid growth strategy and significant accomplishments.
