Weareacrackteamoftenyoung(ish)professionalsfourdesigners,threedevelopers,sales,admin
andaccounts,seekingafourthwebsitedeveloperwithaloveforandunderstandingofwebsite
creationandanabilitytocommunicatewithhumans.
Duties
will
involve
meeting
clients,
listening
to
their
requirements,
liaising
with
the
design
team
throughoutthedesignprocess,takingexistingdesignsandcreatingtableless,standardscompliant
websitelayoutsusingXHTMLandCSS,aswellasprogramminginPHPusingmySQLqueries,the
constructionofecommerce,contentmanagedanddatabasedrivenwebsites.Thiscantakeplace
individually,orinthecaseoflargerprojects,caninvolvealongerprocessaspartofateam.
Thisisachallengingrole.Itinvolvesworkingtotightdeadlinesandproducingworkofa
demonstrablyhighstandardwithhugeemphasisplacedonattentiontodetail.Understandingofand
experiencewithJavascriptandFlash,includingActionscript,isanadvantage.
BasedinourSunderlandoffice,thispermanentpost(subjecttoathreemonthprobationaryperiod),
offersflexibleworkinghoursequivalentto37hoursaweek.Azurebelievesstronglyinanequitable
andfairpaystructureandoffersemployeesabasicwageplusprofitshare,which,basedonlast
yearsfigures,equatestoastartingsalaryof16,000perannum,includingoptionalpension
contributions.Thebasicwageisreviewedannually.
