Dear Parents, A Pirate’s Tale We are all ready to go; the long awaited whole school musical for 2015 – A Pirate’s Tale – Quest for The Forgotten Treasure. End of Term Early Dismissal The end of term is coming fast and I remind you that we will be dismissing early on Friday 18th September at 2.30pm. Please ensure you make the necessary arrangements to collect your children at the earlier time. There will be a final assembly at 11.40am. I invite you all to attend, as this is a great time to celebrate as a whole school the conclusion to the week of musical performances. There is nothing better than seeing the whole school belt out the Finale as a large group! Hope to see you there! Term 4 commences 9.00am 5th October 2015. Footy Final News

The time has come to get serious. It looks like there are a few injury concerns and hopefully Isaac Smith can recover to actually play on Friday night. A trip to the west is always daunting but I am sure the Hawks will rise to the occasion and win a close one. Go Hawkers!

Have a great week and keep smiling!

YEAR 4 CAMP by 4JR Keenan-I enjoyed on the Giant Swing because I felt a bird flying through

the swing. I got to have two goes as I didn’t get to go on the Circutron.

I nearly went to the top of the giant swing. I had a blast! The food was

great too, especially the spaghetti for dinner and soup at lunch.

Hannah-Phillip Island was my first school camp. The Giant Swing was my favourite

because I’ve never been on one before. The food was yummy too! I really liked seeing

the pelicans being fed at San Remo on our first day because they we trying to each get

the food the lady was giving them-they were funny to watch.

Teagan-I really the Circutron the most because we got to do flips and go in different

directions. It felt like you were surfing. I also enjoyed going to the beach even though

it was pouring with rain. We saw a dead puffer fish at the beach. Camp was a really

great experience because you got to work with other people as a team and it was a

great place as there was so much to do-I can’t wait for 2016 camp.

Nevan-My favourite activity was the Circutron because you could move around in

different directions and watching others in my group on there looked pretty cool. I

really liked visiting the beach because we got really wet on our walk. Camp was

really fun!

Tyler-The Circutron and the Giant Swing were my favourite activi-

ties—I can’t explain why, I just really liked them both a lot

Ronin-I liked the Circutron the most as I got to

do backflips, spin around on my stomach and

back, and do cartwheels. I also liked the archery

because I scored a bullseye. Just quietly, I’ve

practised this at home! I can’t wait for next

year’s camp!

ABSENCE NOTIFICATIONS

REMINDER TO PARENTS:

If your child is absent from school, please ring the school office on 9702 8688

on the morning of the absence or send a note with the student on the

day they return to school.

THANK YOU

CHANGE OF CLOTHING FOR STUDENTS

We would like to remind parents to

provide a change of clothing in children’s school bags (preferably some clean underwear, track suit pants, shorts or a dress), particularly as we are coming into cooler and

wet weather

This is handy for ALL children in ALL grade levels as it makes them feel less stressed if they require a

change of clothing owing to an accident. We ask for your co-operation with this matter as our Sick Bay is unable to

cope with the large volume of people requiring changes of clothing.

THANK YOU

WOOLWORTHS EARN & LEARN

As you know, our school has been participating in the Woolworths

Earn & Learn program. The program has now finished for this year,

so a big thanks to everyone who supported our school.

We're now at the important stage of the program where the Sticker

Sheets are collected and lodged as our Earn & Learn claim.

We will then be able to get new educational equipment for

our school.

The more we collect, the more we can redeem.

So this week, please send in your Woolworths Earn & Learn Sticker

Sheets and any loose Earn & Learn stickers you may have.

Remember to check your handbag, the car glove box or they maybe

stuck on the fridge. Every little bit helps.

Thanks again for all your support!
