1. Identify categories and sub-categories of primary data needed
2. Identify the sources (who) and methods for obtaining this data. (what do we need to inquire about and with whom)
3. Use Template for Exercise 10.

Develop Question Guides for each of the following
Question Guides are “aide-memoirs”
Move from the general to the more specific questions. 5-6 key questions main questions should suffice. Probing questions could be more.
Triangulate data (sources and methods)
Use participator y tools when appropriate
Consider pre-set schedule limitations (work with what’s not ideal).
Make sure ask the right questions and include “probing questions” in your guides
If you have time, develop reporting forms (particularly for discussions)
Refer to the samples of question guides and FGD guides provided to you for guidance
