BNCS (Board on Nuclear Codes & Standards)
Responsible for strategic management of all ASME activities related to codes, standards, and accreditation programs.
Standards Committee
Subgroups
Working Groups & Task Groups
Vote on administrative and standards actions, and establish consensus for all standards actions related to their respective Sections. - e.g., Sec. III, Sec. XI, etc.
Responsible for a general technical area of the Code and have multiple Working/Task Groups. - e.g., SGCD(Component Design), SGMF&E(Material, Fabrication & Examination), etc.
Provide specific technical expertise and perform the majority of proposal development. - e.g., WGPD(Piping Design), WGV(Valve), etc.

Approved during Las Vegas ASME Code Week(’11.05).
Composed of domestic nuclear industry-related organizations.
Function as both a technical committee and as a stakeholder committee reporting to the Executive Committee.

3) Prepare a SCN(SAR Change Notice) for application of the Code Case and submit it to the regulatory body.
4) The SCN is approved by the regulatory body.
5) Be incorporated into SAR and revise the relevant design documents such as design report, piping design table, piping isometric drawings, etc.

Slagis G : ASME Sec. III, WGPD & SGCD Member
- Insufficient technical information for application to nuclear service.
Explain that Sec. III has approved the use of this alloy as piping, but not as pipe fittings.
Sills M : ASME Sec. III, WGPD Member
- SB-366 fittings seem to have been systematically excluded from Sec. III use of N04400.
Explain the background on how“NP” was first introduced into Sec. II, Part D.
Dennis D : ASME Sec. III, SGMF&E Member (Liaison of ASME Sec. II)
