Business description

MIR - separator "Sterkh-M"

Principle of operation

The initial product is irradiated with infrared radiation source the conveyor belt transfers the source product to the shooting line the infrared camera is shootingthe microprocessor unit analyzes the data identifies each particle of the mixture determines their position on the conveyor belt and decides to remove certain particles of the mixture of polymeric materials.

The ejectors of the pneumatic system emit air on the particles to be removed.

Purpose

The device is intended for sorting ofmulticomponent mixes of polymers on typeswith use of radiation of the near infraredrange.

Problem description

69.2% of the collected waste was recycled or used for energy

production.

Climate change challenges are at the

forefront of the list of likely long-term risks

according to The Global Risks Report 2020

The main problems of plastic separation:

• by triboelectrostatic separation it isdifficult to separate mixtures including PPand PE plastics or ABS and PS plastics;

• NIR separation cannot separate blackplastics by type

7.7 million tons of plastic waste, which is

16.7% more than before.

Accordingto the proposed

technology, it will be possible to increase

the recycling rates of polymers.

In 2019, plastic waste in rivers and oceans led to

costs ranging from 6 to 19 billion dollars. for key

sectors of the economy for 87 coastal countries.

-PVC windows generate 43 percent more waste than wood windows: 82% of all PVC waste goes to landfill, 15% is incinerated.

- PVC waste has already increased to 6.4 million tons,

-hazardous chemicals enter the environment during the combustion of PVC ".

Description of technology

Separation of polymers using the near infrared spectrum of MIR

The use of an innovative patented signal processing algorithmbased on neural networks, namely the self-organizingKohonen card, which itself is able to learn after learning thesystem uses the resulting database;

• after identifying the desired particle to be removed fromthe stream using an existing database, the particle is blownout by a suitable nozzle.

Using this method allows you to:

• reduce the speed of signal processing through the use oflimited databases of information about the polymers withwhich the customer works;

• allows you to quickly adjust to a specific product, as thecomposition and spectra of polymers can change over time.

Customer segmentation

Market segment - recycling companies in Europe, Asia and America.

Shredded electrical cable insulation

Shredded PET flakes

Market subsegments:

• cable waste processing enterprises;

• PET bottle processing enterprises;

• window profile processing enterprises.

Priority direction: window profile processing enterprises.

Related customer segments

The way of the plastic bottle

Related customer segments:

• coal industry enterprises (refining the coal brand).• food industry enterprises (improving the quality and safety

of frozen food products).

The second most likely segment is PET bottle recyclingcompanies.

• It is related to the first market segment by the similarity ofthe technological process and the similarity of the equipmentline.

• A similar amount of pain - the growing need for separationof PET plastic, including by colors.

Page 9: Development of technology to reduce the negative impact of

Shredded PVC window profile

Market segment

The segment with the greatest pain is recycling companies for polymer plastics.

• Segment of the first purchase - window processing enterprises of the Czech Republic, France and Turkey.

• Homogeneous segment - processors of the window profile of Turkey.

• Opens the way for further development - customers of equipment lines, including MIR-separator.

• The dominant market sector is window processing enterprises.

• Pilot clients - enterprises: REDOMA Recycling AB, ERI-TRADE s.r.o., Recovery S.A.

• Minimum viable product (MVP) - semi-industrial MIR-separator with a working area width of 600 mm, productivity of 500 kg / h.
