“If, then, we establish solid devotion to our Blessed Lady, it is only to establish more perfectly devotion to Jesus Christ, and to provide an easy and secure means for finding Jesus Christ.” (quote from St Louis de Montfort)

This is why we do this Marian Consecration. All three Persons of the Trinity selected Mary to be the closest person to Jesus while He was on earth. From His conception until His death on the Cross—Mary was with Jesus. As we draw closer to Mary, we will be drawn closer to her son, Jesus. So, we consecrate ourselves to Jesus through Mary. Ponder when you pray Let us think of ways Mary has brought us to Jesus in the past and how she will continue to bring us to Him during this Consecration.
