Always There, As They Grow, Wherever They Go
Stay One Step Ahead of Diabetes with Dexcom Continuous Glucose Monitoring.
Introducingthe only CGMapproved for kids as young as 2 years old
Have No Fear, Dexcom is Here!
If you’re looking for optimal glucose control, look no further.
Only CGM keeps you and your child One Step Ahead of diabetes.
Meet the Dexcom G4 PLATINUM, a Continuous Glucose
Monitoring (CGM) system with “super powers” to help you and
your child manage diabetes together.
Let your child spend more time “saving the world” while you
enjoy the peace of mind every superhero’s parent deserves.
Even if your child tests frequently, a lot can happen between fingersticks. A
number alone can’t tell you which way your child’s glucose is headed and how
fast it’s getting there.
With Dexcom CGM, you can stop the guesswork and worries that come with
making decisions based on a number. CGM allows you and your child to make
confident and informed decisions for optimal diabetes management.
A Number Isn’t Enough
“Jenny, go test your blood sugar before you go out and play.”
“But Mom, I just tested a few minutes ago. I’m fine!”Sound familiar? Turns out Jenny’s BG was 40.
If you or your child saw this instead, would you have
done anything differently?
If you saw this number, what would you or your child do?
CGM unveils what no meter can. Unlike fingersticks that
give a number for a single point in time, CGM provides
dynamic glucose information by showing where your
child’s glucose is, where it’s going, and how fast it’s getting
there.
Dexcom’s CGM consists of 3 parts:
Small Sensor that measures glucose levels just
underneath the skin.
Transmitter that is fastened on top of the sensor and
sends data wirelessly to the receiver.
Receiver that displays your child’s glucose trends in vivid
colors so you can easily see when it’s high, low or within
range.

Avery diagnosed at age 3
Meet AveryDiabetes can change in a heartbeat and go from normal to
emergency faster than you can blink. But ‘Dexie’ was keeping
watch over our slumbering girl. We will never forget those three
little beeps...that saved our daughter’s life. We truly thought she
was going to die. Because of you, we are not totally afraid to
sleep at night. Because of you, she will grow up and have a
future. Because of you, she is alive.
Meet Shelley & Lindsey
Mom & Daughter Dexcom users
Both Lindsey and I have Type 1 diabetes. Lindsey plays volleyball,
basketball, does martial arts and hip hop. I am busy working, being a wife
and mother to 2 girls. Our philosophy is that there is nothing we can’t do
because we have diabetes.
With our Dexcom, we can catch our lows before they happen, adjust our
rates based on our trends, and is especially helpful when we’re sick since
our blood sugars are so unpredictable during illness.
The Dexcom allows Lindsey to participate in sports and activities with minimal worry. The parents of
her friends are much more receptive to having her over for playdates and sleepovers because they can
see her numbers and trends continuously. Her teachers at school find it very easy to use and are thrilled
with this technology.

BRIEF SAFETY STATEMENTThe Dexcom G4 PLATINUM (Pediatric) Continuous Glucose Monitoring System is a glucose monitoring device indicated for detecting trends and tracking patterns in persons (age 2 to 17 years) with diabetes. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Remove the System before MRI, CT scan, or diathermy treatment. Taking acetaminophen while wearing the sensor may falsely raise your sensor glucose readings. WARNING: Do not use the System for treatment decisions. The System does not replace a blood glucose meter. In a pediatric clinical study, larger differences were observed between this CGM device and actual blood glucose values compared to those differences observed in the adult clinical study. Use your blood glucose meter for treatment decision. In a pediatric clinical study, a significant number of low glucose events were not detected by CGM. Do not rely solely on CGM alerts to detect low glucose. If a sensor breaks and no portion of it is visible above the skin, do not attempt to remove it. Seek professional medical help if you have infection or inflammation. Report broken sensors to Dexcom Technical Support. The System is not approved for use in pregnant women or persons on dialysis. Sensor placement is not approved for sites other than under the skin of the belly or upper buttocks. Contact Dexcom Toll Free at 877-339-2664 or www.dexcom.com for detailed indications for use and safety information.
