The Carrier Index (CI) score is a carrier performance metric that aggregates and

weighs six key performance indicators into a single numeric score.

Carrier CI scores range from 0-100 and the system serves as a core carrier selection and

risk management tool.

REVIEW SIGNED CARRIER PACKET

Upon receipt of the signed carrier packet and copy of liability insurance information, DGD Transport reviews and verifies its validity.

CHECK AUTHORITY/LICENSE

The carrier’s active authority as well as their authorityhistory are then confirmed.

CHECK DOT

DGD Transport verifies that the carrier has authority to operate under DOT.

CHECK TIA

We check against the TIA’s Watchdog list to verify the carrier is in good standing.

VERIFY INSURANCE

Coverage dates and amounts are confirmed with the carrier’sinsurance and DGD Transport is listed as a certificate holder.

APPROVAL/ONGOING MAINTENANCE

Fail safes are enacted within our TMS system to notify DGD Transport of changes in authority. CI Score (Carrier Rating) is assigned.
