LCL is a core product within DHL with a global network
coverage encompassing some 45,000 point pairs, with
dedicated operational teams and management structure, who
actively manage all the services.
DHL operate Danmar Lines, our own NVOCC giving you
standard carrier liability coverage by issuing our combined
transport Bills of Lading per shipment.
97% of the LCL we handle, is carried “In-House” within
our own service offering, ensuring control, reliability, cost
efficiency and speed. The LCL service is a schedule-driven
product with time-defined performance covering all INCO
terms, and we offer a complete rate and service package with
competitive and fixed rates, covering your exact short-to-long
term supply chain requirements.
Under-utilised or irregular FCL containers can also be
switched to “LCL-mode”, for improved overall lead times and
reducing your freight spend, as you only pay for the actual
volume you move. Also bear in mind, if you have multiple
suppliers in single origin ports, countries or regions, your
volumes could potentially be consolidated into your own
dedicated “buyers consolidation container”, by bundling all
your shipments together and moving as Full Container Loads.
You can track all your orders 24/7 via the internet, as well as
receiving regular management reports via email, directly to all
your nominated stake-holders within your company.
