Summary of Findings

Exel/DHL conducted fuel economy studies. They solely managed and

collected the data. The results are reported below.

In Lubbock Texas at the Penske Truck Leasing facility, Exel/DHL managed the creation of a baseline, installation of the Rentar Fuel

Catalyst and collection of the “post” data. The results as documented in the attached report due to the Rentar Fuel Catalyst

were a 5.1% average improvement in fuel consumption improvement on five Class 8 trucks.

In Lima Ohio at the NationaLease facility, Exel/DHL managed a

SAE/TMC Type IV fuel economy test procedure using ten Class 8 Trucks. The ten vehicles were tested to establish they were all

producing a similar consumption rate. The Rentar Fuel Catalyst’s were then installed on five of the vehicles and the other five became the “control trucks”. The results, as documented in the attached

report were a 4.59% average improvement in fuel consumption improvement on the five trucks with the Rentar Fuel Catalyst

installed.

The effect of using the Rentar Fuel Catalyst on the Exel/DHL truck fleet based on each vehicle averaging 105,000 miles per year and purchasing

fuel at an average of $2.49 per gallon would be a fuel cost reduction of $2270 per truck or $227,000 per 100 trucks annually. The return on

investment (ROI) or repayment of the cost of the catalyst would be approximately 8 months.

Test Protocol

Lubbock Texas - Controlled Comparison Testing

Exel/DHL selected 5 similar trucks with Detroit Diesel Engines.

Beginning and ending odometer readings were taken by Exel/DHL

(Llano) Manager Lyndon Read for Phase 1 and Phase 3. Lyndon also supplied the fuel usage for each truck in each phase. Fuel usage was

acquired from Exel’s official fuel billing records, provided by Penske, to ensure accuracy.

The testing was conducted at the Penske Truck Leasing facility in

Lubbock Texas. The 5 trucks were driven over similar routes and in similar weather conditions throughout the duration of the fuel

economy study. At the conclusion of the Comparison Study in Lubbock, Texas, the fleet mileage per gallon was compared prior to

Page 4: DHL logistics using the rentar fuel catalyst to reduce fuel consumption and emissions

4 fuel catalyst installation (Phase 1) to fleet mileage per gallon after

fuel catalyst installation (Phase 3).

Testing Timeline

Phase 1 – 12/5/05 – 1/8/06 31 Days Baseline information was collected on 5 trucks.

Phase 2 – 1/9/06 – 1/21/06 12 Days

Break-in Period – The Rentar Fuel Catalysts were installed. The engine was allowed to operate for 12 days before data was

taken.

Phase 3 – 1/22/06 – 2/26/06 35 Days Data was collected from the 5 trucks that were now

operating with the fuel catalyst in place for comparison

to the baseline data.

Data was collected over 66 days during which a total of 123,954 miles were accumulated.

The fuel consumption improvement was 5.1%

Lima Ohio – SAE Type IV (Testing With Control Vehicles)

Exel/DHL selected 10 similar trucks with 2005 Cummins ISM

Engines. These trucks were randomly divided into two groups of 5. The group that did not have the fuel catalyst installed was designated

the Control Group. The group that had the catalyst installed was designated the Pre-Catalyst Group (prior to installation of the

catalyst) and the Catalyst Group (after installation of the catalyst).

Beginning and ending odometer readings were taken by Exel Manager Scott Reedy for Phase 1 and Phase 3. Scott also supplied the fuel

usage for each truck in each phase. Fuel usage was acquired from Exel’s official fuel billing records, provided by NationaLease, to ensure

accuracy.

This was an extremely large Type IV Study in that 10 trucks were

used and 289,300 miles of data was recorded. Potential variables were accounted for and neutralized through the use of a Control

Group.

Neutralized Variables

Page 5: DHL logistics using the rentar fuel catalyst to reduce fuel consumption and emissions

5 weather conditions drivers routes loads trucks with 2005 Cummins ISM Engines

After the baseline MPG was established for the Control Group and the

Pre-Catalyst Group (Phase 1), it was noted that the difference between these two groups was only .11%, or roughly 1/9th of one

percent. With this in mind, a general baseline for all 10 trucks was established.

At the conclusion of the SAE Type IV Study (Phase 3) in Lima, Ohio,

the Mpg of the two groups (Control Group and Catalyst Group) of trucks were compared independently to the established baseline

(Phase 1) and the slight Control Group increase was deducted from

the large Catalyst Group increase to determine the overall effectiveness of the Rentar Fuel Catalyst. This test was conducted at

the NationaLease facility in Lima Ohio.

Testing Timeline –

Phase 1 – 12/5/05 – 1/15/06 38 Days Baseline information was collected from the Control Group (5

trucks) and also from the Pre-Catalyst Group (5 trucks), which would eventually have the Rentar fuel catalyst installed.

Phase 2 – 1/16/06 – 2/1/06 15 Days

Break-in Period – The Rentar Fuel Catalysts were only installed on the 5 Pre-Catalyst trucks. The engine was allowed

to operate for 15 days before data was taken. The Control

Group of 5 trucks was untouched.

Phase 3 – 2/2/06 – 3/31/06 57 Days Data was collected from the 5 Catalyst Group trucks and the 5

Control Group trucks to be compared to baseline data and to each other in this phase.

95 Days of Data Collection – 289,300 Miles

The fuel consumption improvement was 4.59%.

the baseline information on both groups was nearly identical, at .11%, or

roughly 1/9th of 1% apart, due to excellent record keeping by Scott Reedy

of Exel, we were able to tabulate the above the baseline based on 133,953
