• Industry: renewal of plants, state of the art, reduction of dust emissionsfrom building sites,
• Traffic: renewal of private and publicvehicle fleets, route concepts forlorries, low emission zones
• Trade, business and private households : renewal of furnaces, energy-efficient construction and redevelopment
Low emission zones (environmental zones)� First implementation in Cologne
January 2008� 13 implemented in 15 municipalities� Vehicles without stickers are
banned� Exemption rules� Reduction of both PM10 and NO2
pollution� Faster renewal of private and public
vehicle fleet
