Type 317 PVC Diaphragm Valve

PVC diaphragm valve 1/2" through 6"shall be of flanged design. Upper bodyshall be of glass-filled polypropylenematerial connected to lower body withstainless steel bolts. All interior metalparts are to be sealed from outsideinfluence. A position indicator must bepresent to determine diaphragm posi-tion. Diaphragms to be either EPDM orPTFE with EPDM elastomer backing.Metal threaded bushings shall bemolded into lower body to facilitatemounting. PVC body material shall meetor exceed the requirements of Class12454B of ASTM D–1784. Valve to beequipped with flanged end connectionswith dimensions conforming to ANSIB16.5, class 150. The valve, Type 317,shall carry a pressure rating of 150 psi at68°F (6" 105 psi) as supplied by GeorgeFischer, Inc. Tustin, CA 92780.

Type 317 PP Diaphragm Valve

PP diaphragm valve 1/2" through 6"shall be of flanged end connection.Upper body shall be of glass-filledpolypropylene material connected tolower body with stainless steel bolts. Allinterior metal parts are to be sealed fromoutside influence. A position indicatormust be present to determine diaphragmposition. Diaphragms to be either EPDMor PTFE with EPDM elastomer backing.Metal threaded bushings shall bemolded into lower body to facilitatemounting. PP body material shall meet orexceed the requirements of ASTM D-4101 as pertains to a type I homopoly-mer compound having a minimum tensilestrength of 4350 psi/300 bar at 73˚F/20˚C when tested in accordance withASTM D-638 and shall have a melt pointwhich initiates at 316˚F/158˚C. The meltflow index (at 374˚F/190˚C/50N) shallbe 0.4 - 0.8 grams per 10 minutes inaccordance with ASTM D-1238. Valveto be equipped with flanged endconnections with dimensions conformingto ANSI B16.5, class 150. The valve Type317 shall carry a pressure rating of 150psi at 68°F (6" 105 psi) as supplied byGeorge Fischer, Inc., Tustin, CA 92780.
