DICK THEM – bass
VÍCTOR DE DIEGO – sax JAUME VILASECA – piano RAMÓN DÍAZ – drumms
For Jaume Vilaseca Quartet, jazz is not a style, not a dogma. It's something totally alive, it is communication in its purest form, an open and committed to the music and improvisation. In his earlier work ('Fotografíes' 1999; 'Aquí i allà' 2002 y 'World songs' 2004) Vilaseca’s compositions invite some of those musics of the world which have always been and will remain the property of the people, a genuine and comprehensive jam session. Now J.V.Q. is facing an unusual repertoire. Music of the progressive rock band Genesis, "Tresspass" until 1970 "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" 1974 was an inexhaustible source of ideas, creativity, risk. Nude some baroquism own paraphernalia and the time that came up, without voice and without letters, reappears in spirit with all his magic, its lyricism and its contemporaneity. Genesis reborn again with a new voice, with a new language, rhythms and colors settled on flamenco roots, African, Latin and Brazilian.

REVIEWS
DISTRITO JAZZ
Genesis of 70 to 74, its main epoch moved to the Jazz? The audacity does not have limits, there were
thinking many fans of the music of Genesis on having seen the front of this CD, but I do not believe that
they suffer on having heard what Jaume Vilaseca and his quartet people they have done with Gabriel's
songs, Collins, Banks Hackett, Rutherford and Phillips. Jaume Vilaseca Quartet obtains a very agreeable disc.
TOMA JAZZ
