This Week in Worship I hope this letter finds you well wherever your week has taken you. I am excited to share with you this Sunday in worship as we look at a story of Jesus shining a light on a woman he met on the streets. In this story (John 4:1-30) there is status, power, selfishness, sin, forgiveness, perspective and most of all, grace. I believe our time will be well served to look how we are called to offer grace in the moments we feel unworthy, incapable and even unwilling. In preparation for Sunday, I encourage you to read over this story to familiarize yourself; but also maybe you will start to find your place in the story as well! God's peace be with you and please share that peace with someone you meet this week! See You Sunday, Pastor Todd Visit our website Click to email Todd View the livestream Did You Know? Did You Know? East Asia Ministry UpdateI hope this email finds you well. I am sure many of you have been hearing about the recentoutbreak of the Coronavirus. I appreciate those who have already reached out to askabout my safety and wanted to send a brief update as to how this virus affects me and myministry.

My team and I are seeing God‘s goodness even in the midst of these turbulent times inEast Asia. As of today while I am writing this email, this virus has infected almost 15,000East Asian citizens. It has also spread to several nations to varying degrees. Fortunately, both East Asia and the world are paying attention to and taking proper precautions in lightof this virus.

I want you to know that my team and I are fine and in good health. We have felt cared forby our leadership and organization and are doing our best to stay healthy. Ultimately, wehave a good and loving God who is sovereign over Asia, the world, and this virus.

This past week, I have been out of the country taking part in a series of meetings andtrainings with other believers from this area of the world (something that I was alreadyplanning to do during this time before the virus). During these meetings, the crisis beganto escalate and our national leaders faced some difficult decisions. They asked that allstaff currently outside of the country postpone re-entry until February 20th. They believethat this will allow enough time, either for the virus to abate, or to gather adequateinformation to determine next steps. While I have mixed feelings about this delay, I amgrateful for our leaders’ investment in our health and safety.

One of the ramifications of this decision is that I will incur almost 2 weeks of unanticipatedtravel and travel expenses (including flights, housing, meals, etc...).

I am grateful for your prayers as I serve in East Asia, especially in the midst of thisepidemic. First and foremost, pray for the safety of those in East Asia and that this crisiswould turn many to hope in Jesus Christ. As you pray would you also consider giving afinancial gift to help cover the cost of unforeseen travel expenses before we are able toreturn home to East Asia? There has been a matching fund set up to help our staff in thissituation, so anything you give at this time will be matched. You can giveat give.cru.org/0729082

I look forward in the months ahead to sharing the opportunities that God provides in themidst of this medical event. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

In Christ,Dylan
