March 15, 2020 THIRD SUNDAY IN LENT
Each week the 10.45 Modern Worship gathering is streamed live on Youtube and is immediately available on our channel. This means that if you are unable to attend church, you can view the service and worship with us live on Sunday morning from your phone, tablet, computer or smart TV. If you are unable to stream the service live, you can watch it later at your convenience. If modern worship isn’t your style preference, but you would like to view the sermon again later in the week, videos of the sermon are also available separately from the rest of the service!
Thanks to the generosity of a few special gifts, we have been able to expand our live video capabili-ties to offer better produced, more engaging content across all of our digital platforms. This is a great way to stay connected to the church commu-nity if you are traveling, feeling under the weather, or are otherwise unable to attend a Sunday gathering. It is also a great resource to share with your friends and family as an invitational tool to give a glimpse into what a Sunday is like at Oak Grove.
Spring often brings a renewed busyness with an increase in school and recreational activities aswell as vacation opportunities. Specifically looking
toward the end of this Lenten season, Dekalb County spring break falls during Holy Week. In order to stay connected with those traveling during this time, we are planning several special online experiences. Both Palm/Passion and Easter Sundays in modern worship will be live streamed, fully utilizing our new expanded capabilities with the intent of creating a more immersive online experience. We are also creating an online only Good Friday “traveler’s service,” which will be a 15 minute worship experience with scripture, music, meditation, and a brief homily.
We are excited about the new ways we can engage both our church community and the online community beyond our current reach. Find our channel online at www.youtube.com/ogumc and be sure to subscribe to keep up to date with all of the exciting new things happening in the life of the church.

Through our mission ministries, Oak Grove provides weekend food bags for children, safe housing for older adults, food assis-tance for people in our community, help for people struggling with addiction, loving homes for foster children, and so much more. All of these missions are made possible through the generous giving of our church family. During the season of Lent you are invited to give a gift above and beyond your regular offering to the Lenten Offering to help fund these ministries. The Lenten Offering provides more than a third of the funds needed for missions and your generosity is appreciated. To contribute, please make your check payable to Oak Grove with “Lenten Offering” on the memo line. You can also donate online at www.ogumc.org. Thank you for making life change possible!
