Learning Outcome After this LA you will know how to make your course aligned.
LA2. INTRODUCTION When you design your course, you often start with the selection of important topics and content for the course. Your intentions are clear. But how do you get students to learn what you want them to learn? Make sure your course is aligned!
Product criteria 1. Keep in mind the INTRODUCTION 2. A table in which you describe your course in terms of :
- learning outcomes - activities (incl. materials) - assessment (incl. materials)
3. An analysis of the alignment of your course including suggestions for improvement.
Learning activities 1. Read chapter 5 of the book 2. Make a table with 3 columns: learning outcomes,
activities and assessment . And fill it in for your course. 3. Watch the films of
Teaching Teaching & Understanding Understanding 4. What can you say about the alignment? Does the exam
measure the Learning outcomes? Do you have the appropriate teaching/learning activities?
5. Comment on your own table. 6. Finish your product and save it as a PDF a. “Draft”: 7. Upload your product in Blackboard 8. Read other products and give feedback.
• Do you have any questions? Post these in the group “Share & chat”
