This type of alternator is the world standard

because of its ability to produce the initial

power surge required by inductive appliances

such as electric motors and compressors.

Precise voltage regulation generates optimal

power with a clean sine wave. There is no

need for a large enclosure with capacitors,

usually found on a-synchronous generators.

Mastervolt generators do not contain

brushes, they regulate their own voltage and

are maintenance-free. The Ultra model 10

and 12.5 is supplied with Electronic Governor.

Advanced Digital DieselControl now standardThe new Whisper generator sets are stan-

dardly supplied with this very advanced

digital control system. Some of the major fea-

tures are automatic starting and stopping

combined with monitoring functions, both

actual and historical: V/Amps/frequency/load

and operating hours readout. Furthermore it

supports fault finding and maintenance.

Mastervolt’s comprehensive range of AC

diesel generators is ultra-quiet, compact, easy

recharged quickly, allowing you to switch

back to silent inverter power for the

remainder of the day.

Comprehensive rangeWhisper generators are available as 3600 rpm

sets (for 50Hz output 3000 rpm) and 1800

rpm (1500 rpm when 50Hz output). The

range has now been extended with 3 new

Ultra models; an 9.5, 12.5 and 30 kVA model

(8, 10 and 25 kVA at 50Hz). Another

innovation: the entire Whisper range is now

fitted as standard with the new Digital Diesel

Control system. We have also renamed our

generator range: the Whisper 3500 for

example becomes Whisper 3.5.

Technology explained :The engineMastervolt uses indirect-injected four-stroke

diesel engines manufactured by Mitsubishi &

Kubota. Exceptionally quiet, compact and

smooth running, these high-tech engines con-

form to the strictest emission level require-

ments and are extremely environmentally

friendly. The Whisper engines are designed

for marine use and are soft mounted inside a

sound shield.

Cooling principleAll engines are heat exchanged cooled. The

combustion air is cooled as well, to ensure op-

timal performance under extreme conditions.

The alternator is water-cooled by an integra-

ted cooler made of seawater-corrosion proof

cupra-nickel, with the exception of the Ultra

25 model which has an air-cooled alternator.

synchronous alternator.

Easy to installThe Digital Diesel Control system consists of a

central control unit and a local control panel

already installed on the generator set, and a re-

mote panel as a user friendly interface between

the operator and the generator. Communication

between the remote panel and control unit takes

place by means of a ‘plug in’ communication

cable that is included with the system.

Now the system is ready to be used and no

further settings are required!

Easy to operateBasic operation of the Digital Diesel Control is

very easy: a short push on the start button will

initiate the start procedure. Each step in this

procedure is displayed on the panel and shows

for itself. Stopping is possible at any moment by

pushing the stop button briefly. While the

generator set is running the LCD display on the

remote panel shows the most important infor-

mation about the output and load. The load bar

allows observation-at-a-glance of the load as well.

When scrolling through the menu by pushing

the Select button, various advanced actual

engine diagnostic and historical data can be

monitored. In the event of a failure a red LED

indicator lights up and the microprocessor will

stop the engine. After stopping, detailed infor-

mation about the failure is shown on the LCD

display.

• Energy menu. Allows you to adjust the setpoints of the alarm functions.

• Engine menu.Allows you to adjust the Digital Diesel Control according to the engine specifications.

• Autostart menu. Allows adjustment of trigger points to start and stop the generator automatically

because of a low battery voltage (restricted access).

• Interval menu. Settings to run the generator periodically (restricted accessibility).

• Display menu.Used to reset and adjust several parameters according to the user specific

requirements, e.g. the internal clock.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION PARTS

Our new Delta water/exhaust gas separator is an essential component of a

silent and reliable exhaust system. The Delta system removes the principle

cause of back pressure and stops the irritating sploshing noise, known from

conventional exhaust systems. The Delta separator is made from high

resistant fiberglass, fitted with multi-fit brass connections, suitable for 15⁄8” or

2” ø hose diameters. The stainless steel bracket is supplied as standard.

Depth of the system including bracket is 6.7 inch only. The Delta separator

has been designed to fit in any (Whisper) generator system up to 20 kVA

rating.

Our new Delta silencer/waterlocks are designed for use with Whisper

generators positioned on or below the waterline. The Delta silencer systems

have excellent acoustics, are high temperature proof and designed for any

(Whisper) generator system from 3.5 to 20 kVA. The naval brass hose

connections are suitable for 15⁄8” or 2” ø hoses. Mounting bracket supplied

as standard.
