The last few months have been exciting ones forDigCurV. We have been analysing surveys that dealtwith investigating existing opportunities for training indigital curation as well as the demand for training fromstaff working in cultural and other institutions. The resultshighlight that as more and more institutions are collectingdigital materials, they are asking their staff to take on newroles in managing these collections. Our surveys suggestthat while there is a lack of training courses, the demandfor training – particularly introductory training and trainingfor trainers -- is high. In such difficult economic times it isexciting to see new jobs emerging in this area and it willbe important to provide the right platform for training andskills development. Read More
