This image is a screenshot taken directly from our music video, creating intertexuality which the audience will notice if they have seen it. The sticky-tape effect makes the image appear like a photo stuck to a bedroom wall, which also links to the photos the girl sticks on her wall during the video.

Album title links to background image of a wall. The colour red creates intertexuality, as it links to the same red font used for the magazine advert, creating a familiar identity between the two so that anyone who has seen it will be able to recognize it. and red motif in the video for ‘One Hand Holding’, of the doll’s tshirt, the red lighting in the final scene etc

Artist name is written in Century Gothic, a bold sans serif font, which convey’s the “no frills” image of the band and the indie genre as a whole

Track list: We downloaded a font called “Hand of Sean” which gives the appearance of handwriting. The tracks appear as a poster on the wall and the use of the sticky-tape at the corners suggests the DIY, image indie bands often try to create, in contrast with the polished appearance conveyed by mainstream pop artists. It looks like a set-list for a live gig, which reflects the importance of live performance in the indie genre. The combination of the photo to the left and the set-list will be familiar to the young ‘indie’ target audience, as teenagers often stick photographs up and set lists are a coveted treasure for whoever is lucky enough to get hold of one at the end of an indie gig

Band website: an essential feature for digipaks, as it allows interactivity with the audience to view additional content

High contrast panoramic image- creates a feeling of continuity between the 3 products as her journey appears to be continuous. The use of the high contrast effect shows that the story of the girl is not a real-life situation, but a hyper-reality

The girl in this image creates intertexuality between the 3 media products, as it is her continuing journey which connects them, as she is also shown walking in the magazine advert and video. The motif of the doll can also be seen in her bag, which the audience may spot if they have seen the promotional video for the ‘One Hand Holding’ single. Instead of choosing to show the band on the cover of the digi-pak (which would be more conventional of the RnB or pop genre) we have created it as a piece of album artwork which the audience can appreciate, which is typical of the unconventional image which indie artists try to portray. The subtle inclusion of the doll in her bag links the 3 products together but it is not prominent because this is the album rather than a single from it, so we did not want to make it too similar to the video

Urban street setting is conventional of the indie genre and reflects the band’s south London roots and creates a sense of identity with the target audience. The anonymity of the location means it could be a street anywhere
