What is a Digipak?• Patented style of compact disc or DVD packaging and is a registered trademark of
AGI Media.• Gatefold paperboard/card stock outer binding, with one or more plastic trays able to
hold a CD/DVD attached to the inside.• Used for CD singles or special editions of CD albums.• Tall DVD Digipak is used as a premium package for DVDs and DVD sets.• A Digipack is the same, however is not a registered trademark of AGI Media, so is
therefore not as recognised as the more well known version, Digipak.• Some of the elements vary between the two different types, however still do the same
job for the audience.

Advantages For the audience
The fan of the band that buys the digipak version rather than the standard album gets all the special features of the digipak. Which includes live performances, interviews and music videos, this is therefore more appealing to the targeted audience as it is more appealing as they get to view special features of their favourite band.
For the industry
The industry get a good profit from re-selling an album with bonus features and the digipak as a whole. More dedicated fans are more likely and willing to buy the digipak version, which results in more of a profit for the industry, the artist and the record label that signed the band.
