Digipak Research

A digipak is a style of CD or DVD packaging and they usually consist of a card outer binding, with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a disc inside. Digipaks are often used for special-edition editions of CD’s and grew in popularity with record labels in the 2000’s. They are often advertised as an alternative to jewel or DVD cases due to it’s shatterproof nature and how it can give greater graphic display. As a form of packaging it is very versatile, with booklets, USB sticks and small clothing able to be placed in the pack without having a detrimental effect.
