DIGIPRENEUR TRAINING COURSE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

“The central strategy here is social mobilization of specific key community groups.”

Demand for more broadband education and broadband related services will require new technologies and certified personnel to drive economic growth. An increase in new technologies will produce new jobs, yet require high levels of training for sustainability. WHAT WE DO

Our accelerated learning, teaching, training and development staff is thoroughly steeped in web-based infrastructure and training, program and course design and development processes that yield highly profitable and socially impactful job creation in technology and education-related industries.

Our methodology, processes, and strategic approach to education and technology translate individual and group sessions into sequential, progressive and effective training activities. Combine this approach with cross disciplinary instruction and no matter the audience, we can train anyone with diverse learning styles and skill sets. To meet this need, we have developed a Community Technology and Job Skills Program called “DIGIPRENEURSHIP” for disadvantaged youth, transition workers (such as veterans and felons) and seniors.

We create a demand for new industries by building well-rounded Digipreneurs with special skill sets in digital media, community relations, data management, and critical internet business-related activities. These services will effectively assist any business to respond to the rapid demands of everyday consumers with greater control, access, coverage, and development. The use of green technologies saves small businesses and nonprofits, struggling to compete in broadband era tons of money, space, and time.

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

• Manual Development • Instructional Training • Program/Project Management • Testing And Evaluation • Task Analysis • Technical Support

“How odd that is has taken so long for a similar understanding to take hold in mobile, where all of the statistics suggest that both African American and Hispanic populations are among the heaviest data and voice users.” Steve Smith, MediaPost Publications, “Say ‘Hola’ to the Underserved – 04/10/2008 “There is going to be a proliferation of different reading devices, with different features and capabilities and prices for a different set of consumer requirements,” said Steve Haber, president of Sony’s digital reading unit. – 08/01/09

EVALUATION It is no secret in technology, that companies and brands that make the effort to address a particular group’s identity and needs when the majority of big brands couldn’t be bothered, will gain long term affinity with niche markets and improve customer loyalty. Two very important components we require to achieve desirable outcomes are:

1. Use of broadband-related equipment, and 2. Use of web-based services, i.e. cloud technology and Software as a Service (SaaS).

Once we accurately determine the holes in your information systems, we design Digital Lesson Plans and Interactive Programs of Instruction (IPI) that include pre and post assessment/evaluation test. Mesh this strategy with next generation peripherals and social/web applications from leading hardware/software providers, including Adobe and Google and the framework for a highly productive environment is set. Onsite, each participant has access to a workstation and remote access to Training Support Packages (TSPs) on all course-related material. Online, web-based technologies afford administrative access and user permission levels.

Benchmarks for success include various trainee improvement outcomes, for example:

• Data generated with proper documentation. • An academic focused review from area college admin • Short term, intermediate and long term outcomes • Skill sets development from a variety of web based applications, professional business and expert

input • Real world application and routine conditions

Certified “Digipreneurs” will take part in a community outreach strategy that includes:

• Green approach improve performance, quality and broadband capacity for service deployment, product development, regulatory and instructional plans

• Identifying proactive steps to remove or mitigate the effect of payment barriers • Develop a digital library of longitudinal trends over the course of the next 6 months via online and

offline surveys, polls, and interviews • Ensure customers of the product can obtain maximum reimbursement for the corresponding

service • Explore Revenue generation options until full reimbursement is available (can take a few years) • Sustainability - meeting the needs of society in ways that can continue indefinitely into the future

without damaging or depleting natural resources. In short, meeting present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

• "Cloud technology” usage – Use of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to save time and maximize performance through ubiquitous broadband in a web-base collaborative environment

• Source reduction – energy, time, waste and space reduction by changing patterns of production and consumption.

• Innovation - developing alternatives to technologies - whether fossil fuel or chemical intensive agriculture - that have been demonstrated to damage health and the environment.

• Viability - create a center of economic activity around technologies and products that benefit the environment, rapid implementation and creating new careers that truly protect the planet.

Digipreneurship “Flagship” Programs are particularly developed for school faculty, educators, nonprofits and business executives that need to advance their communication skills and marketing efforts. Community Digital Studios (CDS) are centers of innovation that provide local customers and partners with a comprehensive set of programs and services. The goal of the center is to foster new job creation in high growth industries such as social media and software economies.

At the centers, professionals from internet-based industries supervise participants in software development and virtual learning through webinars and teleconferences. We collaboratively focus on planning, researching, and developing heavy use of web-based collaboration tools with an ecosystem made up of industry, academic, and government partners. This program is great for high school/university faculty and corporate executives seeking new forms of professional development.

The CDS offers students, professional developers, IT professionals, and researchers access to state-of-the-art equipment, training, consultants, and resources. In most cases, Blacksonville and government, universities, and industry organizations jointly operate these facilities.

Blacksonville’s program offerings are grouped into the following three areas that are keys to the growth of green tech economies:

• Innovation

Our program offerings are critical to the survival of minority businesses by fostering innovation through “real world” experiences and Interactive Programs of Instruction (IPIs). This includes many activities such as hands-on Research and Quality Assurance Labs for startups, partners, students and entrepreneurs.

• Skills and Intellectual Capital (software development courses, business skills and market development training, employment programs for students)

Intellectual capital seminars and workshops are provided upon request be local attorneys to help develop both business and technical skills, including programs that cover security, communication skills and market development, and job readiness for students and instructor certification. Universities can also take advantage of these facilities to better understand how to establish and update computer networks, create courses, and develop curriculum

• Industry partnerships (industry clusters, software quality certification, student research)

We encourage partnerships between academia, the industry, and Blacksonville. Industry partnerships include media and information technology industry clusters, software quality certification programs, and support for select student-led research projects. Service learning projects and public debates in the areas of civic engagement, culture, sociology, political science, and economics are also offered.
