Improving digital judgement
The Digital Disruption Project aims to improve learning practice, personal development and social wellbeing in the UK by developing young people’s digital judgement.
Digital judgement = our ability to engage critically with the content we consume, create and share online

A little bit of background...
• Digital Disruption was started by youth communications agency Bold Creative in 2008, and registered as a non-profit in 2011
• Born out of concern about young people having their opinions, attitudes and behaviour negatively influenced online
• Set out to teach young people how to think (not what to think) when using the internet
• Co-designed tools with young people to educate on a wider level
• Approach = focused on youth engagement and empowerment

• Our mission: to realise the internet’s potential to benefit individuals and society - as something that informs, empowers, liberates and enlightens
• Recently partnered with Demos and Wikimedia UK to understand and improve digital judgement in the UK
• Developing a major programme of work combining research, tools, training and communications
