Westpac Digital Connect LoginFrom the Westpac homepage (www.westpac.com.au) navigate to the portal in the online banking dropdown menu at the top right of the page and select Westpac Digital Connect.

Enter your Customer ID and Password on the Welcome screen.

Select View Digital Institutional Bank to access the dashboard.

Legal entity viewThe legal entity view presents bank account balance information by legal entity name, in line with the pre-defined reporting widgets on the dashboard. This is the default view.

All reporting widgets will present balance information in a legal entity view structure.

Currency viewThe currency view displays account balance and details by currency. The currency selector will notionally convert account balance information into a selected currency for all reporting widgets.

All reporting widgets will present balance information in a currency view structure.

Business defined view The business defined view presents accounts and account balance information in a tailored organisational tree. All reporting widgets will update to reflect balances accordingly.

All reporting widgets will present balance information in a customised structure as defined by the user.

Reporting account balancesThe reporting account balance widget provides aggregated account balance information in line with the selected view.

When drilling down to an account level, a direct link to the account details will display

You can customise your categories and subgroups.

Expand to view associated subgroups and accounts under each category.

If selected, you can view reporting balance and intraday balance at the subgroup and or account level.

Node/account contains incomplete available balance data. Current balance is displayed instead.

“Last updated time” displayed in header may not apply to this group/account.

Node/account contains data which is two or more days old. Most recent current balance and/or available balance is displayed.

External bank account indicators

Your net, negative and positive balance will by default display the balance of all legal entities.

The balance will update as you drill down to a particular entity.

Balance movementThe balance movement widget provides end of day balance movement information between two set dates including the split by account grouping.

Date selectorAllows users to set the dates for balance movement comparison.

Default dates: T-1 to T-2, where T = Today.

Total movementProvides total balance movement amount information by a determined selected business view.

Individual node movementProvides consolidated balance movement information by account grouping.

Intraday balancesThe intraday balances widget provides aggregation and reporting of intraday account balance information in line with the selected view.

Time period selectorSelect the arrow to change the time period of the intraday balance information:• “Last 24 hour” period – data

refreshed every 15 min. • “Last 7 day” period – intraday

balance displayed is refreshed hourly.

Reflects legal entity balance by default. If a particular group is selected, intraday balance will update to reflect that group only.

View selectorProvides users with the ability to switch between graph and table.

Hover over lines to see intraday balances.

LevelProvides users with the ability to switch between group or child level.

Accessing your business defined viewsSelect the symbol from the left side of the homepage to access your administration page. From this page, you can clone, view, edit, delete, and create new business defined views (custom views).

Click the ‘Export view’ button from within any screen on the Treasury dashboard. Note –the export will be taken of your current selection i.e. filtered node, reporting currency and balance type (current or available)

Blank fields indicate that the account has been closed

View Name is the view you exported the report from i.e. legal entity view or a business defined view

You can export the current or available historical data

The date range you selected for the report

The date and time the report was generated. Please Note – reports will be automatically removed after 2 days

The reporting currency that was selected. Please Note – AUD will be the default

Treasury Dashboard

Question Answer

What is the legal entity view? The legal entity view presents bank account balance information by legal entity name, in line with the pre-defined reporting widgets on the dashboard. This is the default view. This view will automatically update wheneveraccounts are open/closed for an existing legal entity reporting through the dashboard.

What is the currency view? The currency view displays account balance and details by currency. The currency selector will notionally convert account balance information into a selected currency for all reporting widgets.

What is the currency selector? The currency selector allows you to change the dashboard reporting currency for all reporting widgets and will notionally convert account balance information into a selected currency.

How are the foreign exchange rates derived?

For the purposes of account balance reporting between different currencies, the Treasury Dashboard applies a daily foreign exchange rate being Westpac’s variable trader rate which comprises a bid and offer rate around a theoretical mid taking account of market liquidity and volatility. You are unable to use this rate for the purposes of foreign exchange transactions.

What is the business defined view? The business defined view presents accounts and account balance information in a tailored organisational tree. All reporting widgets will update to reflect balances accordingly.

How do I create/amend a business defined view?

You can create/amend/delete business defined views via self service. Please refer to page 16 for instructions.

How many business views can I have?

You can create up to 10 business defined views.

What is the reporting account balance widget?

The reporting account balance widget provides aggregated account balance information in line with the selected view. This widget is updated every 15 minutes.

What is the balance movement widget?

The balance movement widget provides end of day balance movement information between two set dates including the split by account grouping.

What is the balance movement calendar?

The balance movement calendar allows users to select data sets for balance movement comparison. Default dates: T-1 to T-2, where T=Today.

Treasury Dashboard

What is the intraday balances widget? The intraday balances widget provides aggregation and reporting of intraday account balance information in line with the selected view. Graphical data is updated and displayed in 15 minute increments when viewing the last 24 hours of activity, and every hour when viewing the last 7 days.

How long is intraday balance data stored?

Intraday data is stored for 90 days from the date the account is activated on the Treasury dashboard.

What is the historical data widget? The historical data widget provides aggregation and reporting of past end of day account balance information within a specific date range for the selected view.

What is the historical data calendar? The historical data calendar allows users to select the date range for balance movement comparison. Default dates: last 180 days.

How long is historical data stored? Historical data is stored for 3 years from the date the account is activated on the Treasury dashboard.

What are graph and table views? These are alternate ways to display total balance or balance movement in line with the pre-defined business view.

What are child and total levels in the graphs?

This is the view by individual account or account grouping at a node level.

What is the account list? A list of the accounts linked to the Treasury Dashboard displaying account name, account number, currency, account type, current balance and available balance.

What is the difference between the Westpac and External Bank account details screens?

External accounts are accounts held with another financial institution other than Westpac.

External bank account indicators:icons at group/account level

Description

Used to identify when a SWIFT message (MT940; MT941 or MT942) did not contain an ‘available balance’ amount.On screen messageThis node/account contains incomplete available balance data. We did not receive sufficient information regarding the available balance of this node/account so we have used the current balance instead.

Used to identify an external bank account in the dashboard reporting structure.On screen messageThe “last updated” time displayed in the header may not apply to this node/account. If you want to know when a non-Westpac account balance was last updated, please speak to the institution with whom you hold the account or contact your Westpac Client Experience Manager.

Used to identify when an external bank account message (MT940;MT941 or MT942) is greater than 1 day old.On screen messageThis node/account contains data which is two or more days old. As an alternative, we have used the most recent current balance and/or available balance received for the account.

Question Answer

What is an external bank account? An external bank account is an account you hold with another (non-Westpac) financial institution.

Can external bank accounts be viewed on the dashboard?

Yes, external bank accounts can be viewed on the dashboard. It will require the other financial institution to provide Westpac a SWIFT MT940 (end of day account balance) and for intraday account balance updates, either of MT941 or MT942 messages.

What external bank account information will be displayed on the dashboard?

Upon receipt of the SWIFT (MT940; MT941 or MT942) messages the account list will display the account name, account number, currency code, current balance and available balance in line with the content of the SWIFT message received.For the purposes of dashboard reporting please refer to the below external bank account indicators section.

How often will this information be updated?

External bank account information will be updated upon receipt of the SWIFT message from the other financial institution. MT940 messages are end of day statement messages and will be received the next available business day following the value date of the MT940 message. MT941 or MT942 are intraday messages and are to be received during the current day. There are factors affecting the accuracy of external bank account information displayed on the dashboard. If you have concerns about its accuracy, please refer to the external source.

Can external bank accounts be included in the business defined view?

Yes, external bank accounts can be included in the business defined view.

How do I access the Treasury Dashboard?

The Treasury Dashboard requires you to log into Westpac Digital Connect.From the Westpac homepage you can navigate to the portal within the online banking drop down menu selector at the top right of the page or by clicking this Westpac Digital Connect link.

How will I be advised of planned system outages and maintenance?

The Westpac Digital Connect landing page will display information relating to planned system outages and maintenance upon login.

Is the Treasury Dashboard available on mobile and tablet?

Yes, the Treasury Dashboard is tablet and mobile responsive and can be accessed via the same method as desktop.

What is first time login? First time login are the steps required to activate a user before accessing Treasury Dashboard for the first time. For assistance with first time login click this link to watch the tutorial video.

How do I reset my password? On the Westpac Digital Connect login page click “Forgot password or Customer ID” link and answer the security questions to enable a new password to be generated.

How do I suspend a user? You can suspend a user by providing written instructions to your Client Experience Manager via email or QuickService.

As a user can I use my Corporate Online user ID to access the Treasury Dashboard?

Yes, you can elect to use the same user ID to access the Treasury Dashboard as you use to access Corporate Online.

How do I add/remove users? Users can be maintained by completing the Treasury Dashboard User Maintenance Form contained on the Westpac Forms site.

How do I add/remove accounts held with Westpac?

Accounts held with Westpac can be maintained by completing the Treasury Dashboard Third Party Authority form contained on the Westpac Forms site.

You will need to contact your Westpac banking representative for assistance when adding accounts held with other financial institutions.

How do I add/remove accounts held with other financial institutions?

Accounts held with other financial institutions can be maintained by completing the Non-Westpac AccountMaintenance Form and Third Party Authority form contained on the Westpac forms site.

To display balance information in the Treasury Dashboard requires the other financial institution to provide Westpac with a SWIFT MT940 message (end of day) on a daily basis, with the additional option to provide SWIFT MT941 or MT942 messages (intraday) for balances updates throughout the day and in between each days MT940. This functionality is subject to the other financial institution’s ability to provide the required message types.

You should contact your other financial institution to authorise and confirm they can send a daily SWIFT message (MT940; MT941or MT942) for each account held with them.

What SWIFT / BIC code does the other financial institution need to send the MT940; MT941 or MT942 to ?

SWIFT message (MT940; MT941or MT942) should be provided to WPACAU2FXXX or WPACAU2SXXX.
