Tracking Shot

Signature shot of Director Martin Scorsese

Long duration shot from start to finish with one camera and no cuts

Made Famous in “Goodfellas”

Tracking ShotCamera rigged to operator via Stedicam

Scorsese initially opposed Stedicam usage because of strain on operators (Weighs about 75 pounds before camera is mounted to it.)

8 Takes needed to get the shot right from start to finish…choreography worked perfectly…one actor kept making a mistake on his lines.
