Put simply, DTG printers are bigger versions of your desktop ink jet printer (with specially tested water based inks) but

instead of printing paper, they print on fabric. We currently run 8 Kornit Atlas’, the latest and greatest in Kornit Tech.

The inks contain a ‘fusing agent’, so when the design has been printed on the garments, the ‘fusing agent’ enables the

inks to permanently adhere to the fibers of the fabric. The outcome is a high quality, vibrant colored print.

Our machines use CMYKRG-W inkset. This allows our printer to print the full gamut range of CMYK plus higher quality

Reds and Greens with the dedicated channels. The white is the most important because it allows the design to be printed

onto black or dark garments by way of an Underbase.

Artwork is processed automatically, through our “Art Pipeline” and sent directly to the printers when called up for an

order. The T-shirt goes into the machine, the print heads move across the garment and comes out again with a bright,

vibrant, soft hand print.

Q: Are the inks Eco Friendly?A: Yes, it is water based ink.

Q: Can you print on colored garments?A: Yes, a white underbase is applied before the

color to ensure colors stay bright and vibrant.

Q: What garments work best?A: We typically recomend 100% cotton. We can

print as low as 50/50 but the lower the cotton

content, the more faded and dull the imprint will

appear.

Vector artwork is highly recommended as we can

reize to any size needed.

Raster artwork is fine as long as it is to the size

requested and at least 200dpi (300dpi is

recommended)

RGB is recommended as we can get a more

accurate color translation to CMYKRG.
