A new Indian website, Muvi.com, is set to become the RottenTomatoes of India. This is a testament to India’s booming home-grown social media and digital scene. The site uses its own algorithms to rate movies. 50 percent of the score comes from established movie critics, 30 percent from tweets and the remaining 20 percent from user reviews on the site. At the moment, the site is still in private beta but counts already more than 12,500 users.

After introducing its music service as a “beta” version in May, Google now launched Google Music as a complete suite of music services. Google Music is the Search Engine giant’s attempt to take on iTunes and Amazon in the music store and cloud music storage space. The big news is that Google finally has a store that partners with artists and labels to give users the opportunity to buy music (legally).
