My Research Into: Target Audience and Techniques Target audience The target audience for this commercial campaign are anyone with a television, this means that it’s not only for the younger generation but also the older generation and keeping them updated to new technology. An independent research carried an i2 media research in Goldsmiths University of London and found out that the community outreach programmes delivered by digital outreach in partnership with voluntary and community organisations across the UK. This had played a major impact in the success of awareness of the Digital TV Switchover. However Digital switchover has mainly targeted at the elderly people as they want them to be very advanced with technology as they spend a lot of time watch TV. There had been a massive increase in the number of people join the Digital switchover, from 16% to an increase of 75% Techniques Digital UK’s advertising has become much greater across a variety of media as they advertise their campaign in many ways. One of their TV adverts called “When you switch” contains a lot of techniques such as a pink van which going around in all areas of Britain. This makes the campaign look very unique with its own colour and through this many people would be able to recognise them and join up. Another advert they have made is called "Convert existing TV". Digital UK’s advertising has become much greater across a variety of media as they advertise their campaign in many ways. One of their TV adverts called “When you switch” contains a lot of techniques such as a pink van which going around in all areas of Britain.
