How it works• The SRU Client searches for new bibliographic

records that have holdings. • Once found these are pushed to Libraries

Australia in real time.

What SRU Record Update does

• Adds new bibliographic records with holdings• May delete and update holdings• Does not update bibliographic records or add

bibliographic records without holdings

What if your system doesn’t have a SRU Client?

The Synchronization Gateway is a middleware widget obtainable from OCLC. It sits on your system. It is used to query your system to find, select and push new bibliographic records with holdings.
