Thank you for choosing Applebee’s to help with your fundraising efforts! We are excited to work with you! A manager will fill out the Dine to Donate Request Form with you to begin the process. Once we have all of your organization’s information, we will book the date and you should start publicizing your event. Your efforts directly impact your success. Good luck!

this. Advertising and promoting the event (utilizing provided templates).

Details for the day of the event: Please pass out all flyers prior to event date. Flyers are not to be distributed in the restaurant or within the perimeter of the parking

lot. Remind participants to bring a copy of the Dine to Donate Flyer with them and present to server

Dine to Donate Manager GuideSchedule the D2D Event: 1. Fill out D2D Request Form with organization (either in person or over phone). 2. Provide completed form and organization’s W-9 to your Marketing/Accounting department. 3. Enter the D2D event into the calendar; file Request Form in with your marketing resource. 4. The marketing resource will create and email the flyer back to the restaurant within 24-48 hours. 5. Email the flyer as well as the D2D Expectations to the group.

Pre-Event: 1. Establish a process for tracking and communicating D2D sales the night of the event. It is recommended to work with your marketing resource to determine the appropriate method. Ex; establish a permanent or temporary POS key, create a sales tracking Excel spreadsheet, separate D2D receipts/flyers for post-even accounting, etc.2. Keep in touch with organization to make sure that they are successfully spreading the word; suggest distribution of flyers via email, social media (Facebook) and printed copies.

Recommendation: The organization should not distribute flyers on restaurant property the night of their event as this defeats the purpose…D2D events are designed to be mutually beneficial. The reason that we are able to donate 20% (or determined percentage) is that the group is bringing in INCREMENTAL traffic/sales.

3. It is recommended that Marketing and/or Accounting has a copy of the group’s W-9 prior to event for faster check processing. 4. Project much higher sales volume for the night of the event and schedule accordingly (average event should bring $1,000 - $3,000 in incremental sales). 5. Have GM work the volume shift if possible and schedule an Expo to keep food flowing quickly.

During Event: 1. For any table that presents a D2D Flyer:

To track D2D sales, a suggestion is to mark the ticket as D2D &/or utilize a predetermined POS Key to indicate the transaction is related to the D2D.

Save D2D flyer and ticket; staple together and present to MOD at check out for post-even accounting and review.

2. FOH manager needs to spot check tables that have a flyer to ensure D2D key used. 3. Pay particular attention to the tables visiting us for the D2D event. MOD should visit and make a point of thanking them and make sure they are happy.

Post-Event: (just one example of tracking and communicating D2D sales)1. MOD should use all tickets/flyers turned in by servers to fill out a D2D calculation spreadsheet (an accounting of each transaction). 2. Email spreadsheet to the marketing resource night of event to ensure faster check processing. 3. Save all tickets/flyers and the D2D spreadsheet. Bundle with the W-9 and any other information from event; keep on file for one year. 4. Marketing will fill out the check request form and send final check amount to the restaurant via email within 48 hours of the D2D event. (Determine time period based on your reporting process) 5. A recommendation is to not quote any amounts to the group until receipt of the email from Marketing to ensure communication of an accurate amount.
