Please visit those businesses whose ads you see here and let them know you appreciate their support of the arts!

YOU, for being in our audience - with an extra special thanks

to our season ticket holders!

We also want to once again thank our actors from Death Imitates Art: Veronica Day, Ron Eubanks, Dale G. Gutt, Margo Lynn Hablutzel,

Nancy Lamb, Clint Prentice, Jason Rice, and Matt Stepan, as well as Lindsey Humphries for organizing it.

And another huge thanks to our cupcake donors from

The Cupcake Conspiracy, several of whom donated more than four dozen cupcakes at multiple performances:

Rover's Mission

Searching for treasures, new and rediscovered, for theatre "off the beaten path."

Rover Dramawerks produces lost or forgotten works of well-known authors,

revives excellent scripts that have suffered from lack of exposure, and discovers unknown gems of the stage.

Get Involved!

Welcome to our new theatre and the third mainstage show of our 15th Anniversary Season! Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present seven exciting mainstage shows and two One Day Only 10-minute play festivals in our new home again this coming season, as well as unique Adventure Nights programming on Fridays and Saturdays between our mainstage shows. After Other People’s Money, we have not only One Day Only 24, but also our 365 Women A Year Festival, in which 10 short plays about historical women by Texas playwrights are presented over the weekend of March 19-22. Then April 3-19, we present the winners of our 10-minute play contest! Join us as we grow, won’t you? Volunteers make all of this possible. We are a business. We are an art. We are a community. If you have ever been a part of any of these things, you have the skills we’re looking for! We’re looking for people to join our dynamic Board of Directors, help us write grants, network on Rover’s behalf with local businesses, build sets, join our new guild - if you’ve got a talent, we can probably make use of it! Just give your contact information to the box office or a roving board member and we’ll take it from there. You can also send an email to Rover’s Artistic Director Carol M. Rice at [email protected] for more information or with kudos, questions, or concerns about anything Rover related, too! If you don’t have a lot of extra time, you can still help out. Use GoodSearch.com when surfing the web (instead of Google), and Rover gets a penny per search. Use GoodShop when you shop online, and we get a percentage of your purchase! There’s even a nifty toolbar you can download that will tell you when you’re visiting a shopping site that will benefit Rover! With COUPONS! You can also link your Tom Thumb Reward Card to Rover. Just fill out an application at the store including our account number, 10965, and we’ll get a percentage every time you buy groceries! Every little bit ads up! Another easy way to support Rover is to visit the businesses whose ads appear in our program, and let them know you’re there because you saw them here! You can even buy an ad for YOUR business! Rates start at just $50 for a quarter page, and we have season ads available, too. Perfect timing since our new season is about to start! Be a show sponsor! You can sponsor the whole run, be a co-sponsor, or even just sponsor an opening night, closing night, or any special night during the run of any show in our season! And of course you can donate to Rover, and we don’t just need money (although that’s the BEST way to help) - you can also donate goods and services! More than anything though, we love it when you’re here in our audience. We need and appreciate your support and hope to see you again SOON. Be sure to make your tax-deductible donations and buy your season tickets!

About the Play

Wall Street takeover artist Lawrence Garfinkle's computer is going tilt over the undervalued stock of New England Wire & Cable.

If the stockholders back his takeover, they will make a bundle but what will happen to the 1200 employees and the community when he liquidates the assets? Opposing the rapacious financier

are the genial man who has run the company since year one and a young lawyer who specializes in fending off takeovers. This compelling drama explores whether corporate raiders

are creatures from the Black Lagoon of capitalism or realists. Winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off Broadway Play.

Other People’s Money is produced by special arrangement with

Samuel French, Inc.

There will be one 15-minute intermission.

Please turn off all cellular phones, pagers, wristwatch alarms,

tablets, and other noise and light making devices.

There will be no smoking or vaping in the theatre.

Who's Who Molly Bower is excited to be returning to Rover’s stage as Kate in Other People’s Money. Molly recently performed with Sherman Community Players as Elizabeth in Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde and as Becca in Rabbit Hole. She is grateful to have recently completed a course in Beginning Meisner Technique with John Pszyk at WaterTower Theatre. Some of her other favorite roles played are Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, Hortense in The Boyfriend, and Queen Gertrude in a one-act feature of Hamlet. When not on stage, Molly is on her yoga mat, sweating it out at the gym, writing poetry, searching for superhero crossover comics on the internets, or Netflix-bingeing with her loving husband and their fat cat. Robby Dullnig is excited to make his debut on the Rover stage. Past projects include writing and directing One Day Only plays, and performing under Carol M. Rice's direction in Silver Screen Slayer for Camp Death Productions. Robby has also acted at Pocket Sandwich Theater, Theatre Three, Mainstage Irving Las Colinas, and Mesquite Community Theater. Robby would like to thank Paul, Darcy, and the other actors for making him look like less of a fool onstage. Shanna Gobin is excited to be back working with Rover Dramawerks. She is a graduate of the University of Texas El Paso with a degree in Performance. She has been designing costumes locally for four years now, and has also worked for Dallas Theater Center and the Dallas Opera. Some of her favorite recent costume designs include Out of Order for Theatre Britain, Herbbits, Wizards, and Borks...OH MY!!! for the Pocket Sandwich, Who Was That Lady I Saw You With? for Rover Dramawerks, and Silver Screen Slayer with Camp Death Productions. Lindsey Humphries is pleased to be designing for Rover again. Recently, she has designed props for Who Was That Lady I Saw You With? and costumes for These Two Couples Went To Italy and It Runs In The Family here at Rover. She also designed props for Silver Screen Slayer (Pocket Sandwich Theater) and Supermodel Super Spies (Camp Death Productions) and costumes for The Marvelous Wonderettes (Onstage In Bedford). Lindsey's next project is 18 Holes, which she is thrilled to be directing here at Rover. Come check it out! Darcy Koss was spotted by Jason Rice several years ago while she was working at the Habitat ReStore. He was immediately taken by her innate organizational talent and asked her to become involved with Rover behind the scenes. She has lost count how many times she has worked with with Rover previously (most recently as stage manager for The Cupcake Conspiracy, The Fourth Wall, Bloody Murder, Same Time, Next Year, and WRENS), but she loves it! “Thank you for this opportunity and for continuing to make it fun!” Nancy Lamb has appeared in several previous Rover productions, including Around the World in Eighty Days, Gilligan’s Island: the Musical, and Alice and Margo. She keeps busy on stages around the Dallas/Ft.

Worth area, including Texas Family Musicals, MBS Productions, Theatre Britain, Theatre Arlington, and Casa Mañana. Favorite roles include title roles in Hello, Dolly and ‘Til Beth Do Us Part, Betty Meeks in The Foreigner, and Mag in Beauty Queen of Leenane. Paul McKenzie is excited to return to Rover, having last directed Game Night (Late Night series) and Completely Hollywood (abridged) here. Paul's work both on and off the stage has been seen around the Metroplex, at various theatres. Many thanks to Carol and Jason for the opportunity, and to family and friends for supporting my work. Tom McWhorter was most recently seen in Music Theatre of Denton’s production of Les Miserables (The Bishop). He has also performed at GCT in The Butler Did It (Robert Lattimore) and Cotton Patch Gospel (Ensemble). He has played at PST in Fu Manchu (Lionel Barton), and at Firehouse Theatre in Romeo and Juliet (Lord Capulet). He is grateful to be making his third appearance at Rover, having greatly enjoyed his roles in Black Comedy (Colonel Melkett) and The Remarkable Mr. Pennypacker (Dr. Fifield). He gives God the glory for leading him to the theater, and gives thanks to his family for their enthusiastic support. Mike Partyka began his theatre career with minor roles in high school productions of The King and I and 42nd Street. After taking a long sabbatical to pursue an alternative career as an IT consultant, Mike recently returned to the stage. Having previously appeared in Rover Dramawerks' One Day Only and Adventure Nights productions, Other People's Money is Mike's first major theatre production with Rover. Jack Piland previously designed lights at Rover for Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily, Same Time, Next Year and These Two Couples Went to Italy... and he has appeared onstage as David Williams in Who Was That Lady I Saw You With? He also recently did the lighting design for the remount of Silver Screen Slayer at the Pocket Sandwich Theatre. He thanks the powers that be for giving him the ability to once more do this thing called theatre. Jason Rice has been on the Rover board since it was founded and is the current Board President. He has designed sound for such shows as The Cupcake Conspiracy, Who Was That Lady I Saw You With?, Written in Time, The Crowd You’re in With, Adventures in Mating, Mary’s Wedding, The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged), and Night Must Fall. He has received awards for acting and sound design, and he has written several custom murder mysteries and one-act plays. Jason has composed music for both live theatre and video, receiving the Aegis Award for his original composition for Matt Kaufman’s film short Willoughby. Some of the plays he has directed for Rover include WRENS, More Fun Than Bowling, Premiere!, Around the World in 80 Days, The Runner Stumbles, and War of the Worlds. As much fun as theater is, Jason’s favorite role is Daddy to Stephen and Scott. “What’s my motivation for ‘Because I said so!’?”

At Our Recent Death Imitates Art

Since Friday the 13th marked exactly one week after our first anniversary in our new home here in Ruisseau Village and it was also the day before Valentine’s day, we decided to celebrate in style with an interactive murder mystery dinner! Thanks to everyone who came!

We brought together several actors who have been on our stages to solve the mystery of Rover Board President Jason Rice’s sudden murder that night. The audience helped solve the “crime” and a great time was had by all!

Greek Isles provided the wonderful food! Greek salad, hummus and fresh pita bread, meatballs, chicken and rice, vegetables.... If you haven’t tried them yet, they’re just around the corner. Yum!

Only 40 tickets were available for the first of what we hope will be many dinner theatre events, and we sold out FAST! Didn’t hear about it? Check with the box office to make SURE you’re set to receive emails from Rover Dramawerks!

Ruby Texas Cakes (one of the wonderful companies that donated our cupcakes during The Cupcake Conspiracy) made custom cakes in mason jars that were to die for! (See what I did there?)

The AutoShop and North Texas Chamber helped out with tables and FLOWERAMA gave us some beautiful roses to auction off!
