CUA60415 Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development

Directors collaborate with actors and production teams to develop creative products. These products include things like theatre shows, web series, films, TV commercials, TV dramas and sitcoms, festival performances, and many others.

As a director, you need to be able to conceive a creative vision and communicate it to others. You must then manage a team of people who will help you implement your vision successfully.

In this course you will develop not only your creative skills, but a sense of your own aesthetic, an ability to critique your work and the work of others, as well as acquire some important business skills for working in the industry. Course entry requirements: It is expected that applicants to this course will have some past experience in directing or in a related field (e.g. acting). Applicants must be able to demonstrate their capacity to complete a course at Advanced Diploma level.

Entry is by application and interview: To apply for this course, fill in the online application form. We recommend you fill it in with as much detail as possible, as your answers will be used to judge your suitability for the course. You should give examples of your experience throughout.

After we receive your online form, we will arrange a time for you to come in for an interview.

Acceptance: On acceptance of a place in the course, students are required to pay a deposit of $400 towards course fees. This secures your place and goes towards your first weeks in the course.

Qualification: On successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to receive a nationally recognised qualification, the CUA60415 Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development.

Need a loan for your education? While no VET Student Loans are available for this course, CADA has an arrangement with MAC Loans for students. Please inquire for more information.

Homework and assignments: In addition to the face-to-face training each week, full-time students should allow another 10 hours per week for homework tasks, research, thinking and design time, and for rehearsals.
