CMD Deadline ApproachingThe presence of a CertifiedMedical Director (CMD) in nursing homes results in a 15% improvementin quality scores compared to those without CMDs. The American Medical Directors CertificationProgram (AMDCP) is the only program to accredit Certified Medical Directors in long term care,and has accredited more than 3,000 medical directors since its inception in 1991. � AMDA Advanced Curriculum on Medical Direction in Long Term CareThis year’s Advanced Course will be held October 4-6 in Atlanta, GA. This course is specificallygeared to the needs of physicians who provide management and clinical care services in thelong term care environment.

� Navigating Mood and Behavior Challenges in Long Term Care: Strategies for OptimalOutcomesThis new one-day course will be held September 21 in New Orleans, LA.
