Dear Fellow Member,
The EGCSA Assistant Superintendent only meeting is scheduled for June 20 at Quail West Golf Club in Bonita Springs. These events have been incredibly successful over the past year with guest speakers including Rhett Evans, CEO GCSAA, Bob Ranquist, CGCS, Past President GCSAA, Pat Jones, Editorial Director of Golf Course Industry magazine and Bruce Williams, CGCS.
This coming event will once again have another outstanding speaker in Kurt Kuebler, CCM. Kurt is a partner in the private club executive recruitment firm of Kopplin and Kuebler based out of Florida. His presentation will be used to motivate our local Assistant Superintendents and to provide guidance to the “next generation” of turf managers. The knowledge and insight that Kurt will provide to the attendees will be invaluable as they begin their journey to become a golf course superintendent or to simply continue a successful carreer in golf course maintenance.
As superintendent’s, it is important that we keep our employees motivated and show them appreciation and gratitude. The EGCSA Assistant Superintendent program is one way, as an Association, that we can do that. Assistant Superintendents, Irrigation Technicians and Integrated Pest Managers are welcome to attend. The event will begin with a 9-hole 2 man scramble on the beautiful Quail West golf course followed by Kurt Kueblers presentation.
The EGCSA board of directors and I strongly urge our superintendent members to encourage their staff to come out and enjoy an afternoon of comraderie, fun and education. The networking opportunities available at these events can help to develop lasting relationships with other industry peers and to help with carreer development.
The EGCSA Assistant Superintendent Program would not be possible without the partnership agreement with Wesco Turf, the local Toro, Inc distributor and the staff of Quail West Golf Club.
