disaster recovery conference day of service...
TRANSCRIPT
Hello from Miss Melissa Young
Director of Saint Paul Christian Childcare Center
I would like to introduce myself. I am a native of Florence County and have been for over 30 years. I was raised in
a Christian home and taught Godly principles at a very young age. I became a Christian at the early age of six and
dedicated my life to the Lord at the age of 16. I attended Christian and public schools, therefore , I have been ex-
posed to Christian education as well as public education. As a young woman I believed I wanted to be part of the
medical profession so I enrolled in Florence-Darlington Technical College and obtained a degree as a surgical tech-
nologist. I worked in the medical field for over eight years in Florence and Columbia, SC. I then decided to go to
Liberty University to study education and business and have subsequently worked as a teacher and a director. I
believe that God has given me a gift with children and also a gift as a director. I especially enjoy knowing that I
can share in the process of helping young children have the opportunity to hear teaching and stories from the
Bible. In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me, for of such is the
Kingdom of Heaven.” I believe firmly that as a director, I have a responsibility to be obedient to His command. I
believe with all my heart that children especially matter to God, and He expects me to use my gifts, talents and op-
portunities to introduce them to Him.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself and I look forward to meeting each of you in the near future!
Sincerely,
Melissa Young

Start now and begin planning one of your new year’s resolutions. In January 2020 St. Paul will once again host a “Run for God” bible study.
This 12-week study is for everyone!
The program helps us prepare to be better witnesses for Christ:
Physically—by making us healthier
Mentally—by learning the discipline and endurance that it takes to “Run the Race Set before Us”
Spiritually—by giving God the glory for all that we accomplish.
Watch for more details in the coming months.
Just a reminder….
Coats for Christ — It’s not a seasonal ministry!
We need coats, jackets, etc. Please bring
your donations by the church office.
