Greetings and thank you for your interest in Father Lopez Catholic High School. Our school originated in 1959 in Daytona Beach, FL and the implementation of our International Student Program began in 2011. With an average of 10 countries represented each year within our program, it allows all our students to develop a global world view. We link Father Lopez Ambassadors to new International Students to help make the transition into our school community seamless. Every year as a group, our program visits two college campuses, goes to at least five local attractions and theme parks, and has dinners with all the host families for holiday celebrations. We offer a Homestay program so that our students can immerse themselves in the American culture while developing English skills. Our host families strive to develop a lasting relationship with their International Student and they truly become a part of their family. The community of Father Lopez Catholic High School is committed to exceeding your level of academic expectations.

Foundation of Faith

Father Lopez Catholic High School exists to further the mission of the Catholic Church. As an educational institution, we are obligated to teach a well-rounded, college prep curriculum. As a Catholic educational institution, we must do this by always remembering why our doors are open—to build the Kingdom of God. Prayer is central to the life of the campus. Mass is celebrated monthly with our local pastors presiding. The choir enhanced every celebration.

Service Highlights

Lopez students are continually engaged in service. Some of the highlights of the year

included:

Our annual Homeless Lockout during which students slept in the courtyard to raise money. This event brought in a record

$6500.00 which will be used for a future meal packing project.

Once again we sent a group of missioners to the Dominican

Republic on an education mission to our sister diocese. Twelve

students and 3 adults participated in this life-changing event.

Students continued to act as

facilitators for seventh and eighth partner school retreats which were hosted

on campus.

To date, the Lopez Community has made 52 microloans at home and abroad to

people who are trying to create a better quality of life for

themselves and their communities. These donations to KIVA have been

generously contributed by graduating classes since 2013.

After review of records you will receive notification of pre-acceptance.

Step 2: ï Submit Copy of Student Passport ï Submit Parent ID ï Submit Required Documents ï Submit $5,000 Registration Deposit

After receipt of all items a final letter of acceptance will be issued and the I20 sent by express mail.

Step 3 After Visa is granted: ï Bring original notarized copies of Custody Agreement with

Host Family and Authorization and Limited Power of Attorney forms to school with you.

Florida state law requires that you complete and submit an HRS 680 Immunization Form prior to admittance. Students moving from out of state must submit a health examination form. You are also required to submit a copy of the student’s visa and passport.
